Very friendly staff and a great selection of beers, the food was superb! Very crispy batter on the hake, and you could tell that the burger was made with real steak, really tasty bacon on it too. The home made chips were delicious. Couldn't fault a thing tbh. We're definitely coming back.

Exceptional food and outstanding service. We chose this venue for a Stag Do dinner and were thoroughly impressed by their high level of accommodation (It's advisable to book ahead.) The staff's friendliness shone through, as they recommended great meal options . If you find yourself in the area and uncertain about where to dine, this establishment is undoubtedly a top-tier choice. Much appreciated!

Fantastic food, had the veggie curry and the Welsh beef burger with triple cooked chips. Could tell the food was home made tasted fantastic and dog friendly as well! Friendly staff fantastic prices. Only complaint was the Karen woman sat behind us who claimed to be a chef and complained about her food just to try and get money off the bill. Sod them because the food was fantastic and they were lying!!!

Great place not far from the promenade. Well worth visiting. The picture I've posted is chilli beef nachos starter which was mahoosive and delish. I had the chicken Madras, daughter had minted lamb burger and wife just a side of fries. All great portions with the chicken chunks in the curry some of the biggest I've ever had. We were all defeated and didn't quite finish everything we had. Altogether a fabulous place to go for food and a few drinks. Dogs also welcome inside and out.

I love this bar/ restaurant. And I often eat there with friends or alone. Why? The staff are friendly, efficient, & knowledgeable about the menu & drinks available. The menu is exciting compared with the usual chips with everything dining experience on the average High Street. I had a late lunch l, so it was pleasantly quite, but enough diners we’re still eating. The delicious & beautifully presented prawn cocktail & jacket potato is a complete meal. It comes with coleslaw & a side salad. When I asked for olive oil it wasn’t a problem & speedily delivered to my table. (Unlike a similar request at Holiday Inn Manchester : where I was told chef didn’t have any). The building itself is attractive & located behind the main shopping street. It was a cold blustery day but the interior was warm and inviting. Weekends & evenings are popular, booking is essential.

Very friendly staff, we called ahead and they squeezed us in a table shortly before they were due to close the kitchen. They had a great selection of local ales and beers and also plenty of ciders. Brilliant atmosphere and the food was amazing!! We all left with smiles and full bellies

We called here just for a drink & was pleasantly surprised, a nice range of real ales & the food menu looks very good. I had a pint of the Timothy Taylor's Landlord and can honestly say it was well on form, I certainly will be calling in again.

4/16/22 Came here based on the reviews. It’s what we expected for our first UK pub, but I review them 4 stars for the wait time on food, everything was delicious and they did seem very busy with people sitting at every table. I had the Fish & Chips with peas and my husband had the British Steak & Ale Pie, both great choices and we would definitely return again.
