Would highly recommend if visiting Llandudno.
The food and service was amazing, people may be put off by the price but for the quality you receive its worth the money.
Great with kids too and if your thinking of visiting, i would suggest you book a table as it gets pretty busy on weekends.
I was recommended this place from a friend and i would recommend this to anyone, its getting my first ever 5 stars because the food was faultless.
Good food, nice relaxed atmosphere, Cosy, intimate, very good staff friendly and helpful. Great place for small size celebrations.
Overall a good restaurant. Starter I ordered the mayo prawns- not what I was expecting (thought the prawns would be a bit larger in size) but it is quite an interesting dish. Recommended for mayo lovers.
Main course I ordered the rainbow trout and it's great! There are fish bones though so if anyone orders it in the future, do be aware of them.
Tiramisu is also decent.
Staff are lovely. Prices are alright- I'd say it's slightly expensive for what is provided if I have to be honest (around £24.00 for 3 courses). But a solid choice for dinner overall.
13 of us went to Candles last night to celebrate my Husband's 60th birthday. What a fantastic restaurant. Food was amazing and the service was spot on. All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a special evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all at Candles .
During a short break in Llandudno, we ate dinner at Candles two evenings running. The food was beautiful and the staff were attentive and friendly. We would highly recommend.
Nice restaurant food is good but puddings run out early. Nice atmosphere but a group of 8 men were a bit loud not good for a romantic night out with the wife
The food is truly second to none. The trout was caught by the owner-chef and was incredibly fresh and deliciously grilled with herbs. The lasagne was full of flavour with tasty beef. The salad is decorated with orange peels, strawberries and grapes and delightfully complemented the main course.
The service was the loveliest too with the owner's sister running the front of the house, making every dinner well looked after.
Went there last Friday with my Daughter and her fiance...first time and we were very happy with the service and food, good portions too.
This is a loverly place for a meal excellent and good size portions. Great customer service. We had set menu and bottle wine of the week. Worth every penny but will ho again. Thank you lovely evening
Small restaurant but very cosy atmosphere. Food was very good and the service was excellent. Will definitely go back. Back again last week (7/9) Food again excellend and staff very good.
Great food excellent value. The 4 course meal at £23.95 is amazing value. Plenty of choice on the menu. Only a small venue so you are advised to book. Staff are very friendly this is a hidden gem in Llandudno.
Wonderful dinner. Great food and friendly service.
Managed to fit me and my wife at the last moment. We'll worth the money and we'll be back when in landudno again .
Helen and Anthony Millichip.
1st Anniversary meal.
Went to Candles yesterday, we had a fantastic evening. The staff were so friendly and helpful, my wife is vegetarian and often finds she has the same food options but this was not the case last night. We both went for the three course set menu, there lots of choices. The food and portions were fabulous and we both struggled to do much justice to lovely desert. This is the first time we have been to Candles but next time we come to Llandudno we will be definitely going back.
Excellent food and very reasonable prices .All 5 in our group had the 3 course meal option .All courses were tasty and well presented.Staff were very polite and helpful .Highly recommend
Great service, especially the lady who was serving dinner at the evenings. Really good family vibe as it was cozy and homely at the restaurant. Wonderful value for the amount of we got. We spent less than 50 quid and ate so much food we didn't know what to do. Great appetizers, great dessert. The main course though could do some work. The chicken was too sweet, and the fish tasteless.
Small and intimate atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was lovely. And the price was very reasonable (3 course meal for £21.95 as of 16th June 2021)
Food excellent service top. Highly recommend. Will definitely recommend, will be there again when we return to Llandudno
Delicious food and a fabulous selection for a three course menu. Friendly and helpful staff too, really welcoming.
Make sure to book to ensure a seat and don't forget it's cash only ☺️
Thank you for the lovely evening!
Nice restaurant with a good choice of dishes. We had rainbow trout, peppered steak and chicken. The food was very good and with fresh ingredients.
Great restaurant, lovely food, good price, would definitely recommend
