Stayed only one night on the way to Tenby but we were made very welcome by hosts lynne and Alan. The room was a great size with an assortment of water and biscuits. The bath was a great size and deep, just what you want after a long drive. Breakfast was beautifully cooked as well. Will definitely stay again if passing through llandovery.

Stopped here on the way to Solva and had Tea and Bara Brith but was impressed so decided to stop on the way home. We had Southern Fried Chicken, chips cooked 3 times (delicious) and a lovely fresh salad dressed with balsamic. The food is simple but first class and the staff are efficient and lovely. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed for one night in a family room. A really nicely sized room with everything you need and well presented. Breakfast was great and plenty of choice, even pancakes which our son was very pleased with. If we need to stay in Llandovery again it will be at Penygawse. Thanks.

Their Paninis are the best we've ever had. The owner told us that they are not made using Italian pastry/ bread but Spanish. Wish everyone would use the same - we'll be back next time we're coming through!

Very strong roast coffee, got a good kick from it. The presentation can be better (as you can see) but it is still a good place to have a quick pit stop. Oh the coffee cake is delicious.

Cycled here for breakfast!! Beans on toast with bacon & sausage. Pot of tea and fresh orange juice. Lovely foods with excellent happy service. Shame it’s on the main road with a lot of traffic. However, would still highly recommend.

Every year, for many years, my wife and I take our holiday in West Wales (from Greater Manchester), and every time we are here we visit PenyGawse for lunch once or twice during our stay. The food is amazing, large portions, good ingredients, and delicious. The service has always been lovely and helpful, and very accomodating for sorting out gluten and dairy free food for me. We would very much recommend it.

An absolute gem of a place! Unassuming yet perfect in every way. Staff were friendly, food was delicious (and cheap!) - the Welsh Cawl was amazing!

Extensive menu at reasonable prices. I had a light veggie breakfast, which was nice. The coffee is well made & tasty. However, I did get a bit worried when ordering a Cortado & I was asked if I wanted a 'regular or large'. I went for the regular. When it arrived, in my opinion, it was a flat white & not a Cortado. Nonetheless, it tasted good, but not what I wanted. We sat outside, which is okay, but a bit noisy from the traffic. Just had a discussion with the Barista. I did get a Cortado. What I thought I wanted is a Piccalo. The coffee here is very good, whatever one orders. Recommended.

Delicious cup of coffee, enjoyed with a rather sweet raspberry flapjack (not to my taste). Staff, plenty of them, efficient and very pleasant. Loos clean and plenty of seating.

What a wonderful cafe. We were there during breakfast hours but we were able to get the beef tenderloin sandwich. It was amazing. The staff was wonderful. It's definitely worth dining in.

My husband, son and I had a great light breakfast each when we called in while visiting Llandovery. Super food and lovely pot of tea! Friendly staff and quick service. Would definitely visit again if in the area.
