We went for a meal with family at The Angel. We had heard a lot of good things about this small village pub/restaurant. It was not a disappointment. We had a warm welcome from staff and others. The food was excellent and for the quality was priced very well. We had a good evening and are planning to go there again. Well worth a visit. It's a gem of a place.

I had such a great experience ordering for takeaway, they were very helpful and had a good selection of vegan options. Great portion size and amazing taste, the vegan wellington is a must try! Will definitely be going back as its the best local vegan food in my opinion.

Had a gorgeously tasty & plentiful home cooked lunch today with a couple of friends at this traditional pub - real chips & quality ingredients. Service was second to none with super friendly chef & bar staff. We all said we would definitely revisit & would highly recommend others to go here.

Very friendly staff. Excellent food. We had Lasagne and pan fried chicken with chips. Chips were heavenly - crispy and dry on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. Locally sourced veggies were very tasty and perfectly cooked. Hope to return again.

Would highly recommend The Angel Inn a hundred times over for food, drink, atmosphere and a place to stay! Norelle (apologies if I’ve spelt this wrong!) and Alex were fantastic and faultless, we could not have asked for a better stay for the weekend. We will definitely be returning later in the year for another stay and we look forward to the incredible breakfasts! 🤩

Went up last night. The food looked really good and a good menu good prices with plenty of choice for vegans or veggies. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The tables were nicely presented. Will definitely be there again. Plenty of room for you to sit out in the nice weather and a good play area for the kids. Keep it up 😀

Recently called and had lunch with my wife and the presentation and quality of the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money. Plenty of room not cramped at all, large car park and a very nice area. Booked a sunday lunch two days later and the carvery was superb. Beef, pork or turkey and the beef was superb. Made a complete pig of myself with all the veg following the whitebait starter. If anything it could do with a bit of updating with the decor but does not detract from the quality of the food and the staff. Well done we will be back soon........................

We popped in just after they had opened at 6. We asked if the dog was allowed and she was. The owners were really friendly and the menu was really tasty dishes. Hubby had chilli squid then a boar burger and I had bbq slow roast belly of pork which was beautiful. We will go back before we go back home. It's really nice to find a good pub with good food. Ring first just in case.

Food was good - better than expected, and service was friendly! My only criticism is that the the large room in the extension that we were seated in is a bit soulless and was rather brightly lit for the evening. I’d give it 4.5 stars if that was an option.

What a fantastic find! Stopped off here just after the pubs reopened... food was absolutely delicious, and they had some fantastic local beers available. Couldn’t fault the service, which was warm & friendly - would most definitely recommend & visit again.

Had a take away and it was great. Really tasty and just what we needed after months of lockdown. If you are going for the fully loaded Angel burger make sure you have a hearty appetite!!

A great pub, superb food and good real ales. Very friendly welcoming staff. A good place to stay in their B&B or to stay in a camper van as they have spaces with electric hook-ups for only £5 a night per van.

Was staying with family at a holiday cottage nearby. We discovered this gem of a pub for lunch one day and really enjoyed the spacious, village pub surroundings and ambience as well as the excellent no nonsense pub grub, all with good value for money. Staff were accommodating, friendly and polite. If I lived in this locality, I would be going here frequently.

Excellent pub and restaurant. We had the Sunday lunch and it was fantastic. The Angel in Salem is a family run country pub with both a real fire and real ales! Once I walked through the door I knew I was at home ;-) can't wait for our next visit!
