Everyone that was working today you were all so welcoming and couldn't do enough!! They were all so happy and smiley!!
The cafe is a fab place and the cakes were delish!! Some of our walkers would agree the walk up to the top was worth it for the welsh cake at the bottom!! Would definitely recommend you to anyone walking up snowdon!!
You are doing a fab job!! Keep up the good work!!! X
Brilliant place. The staff were lovely, Stefan checked transport options for us as we had walked from south to north and needed to get back to the other side of the mountain. Nothing too much trouble for staff. Massive pot of tea and coffee of excellent quality. Biscuits and water for the dogs. Just what we all needed!
Fab place to stop and have a beer or homemade Lemonade. Stefan gave us such a lovely welcome. Would highly recommend this quirky tea room .
Thank you
Such a lovely cafe and all staff so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Stefan arranged for a local man, Oswald, to run us to our car and he took us the scenic route back, pointing out places of interest and telling stories on the way. It was the highlight of our day! He only wanted a donation for Mountain rescue in return. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and we will be back! Thank you
Amazing little place,a hidden gem would recommend to ALL that walk, run or bike snowdon,Cheers,Oh the cat is cute too
You might pass this place on the way up Snowdon (YR WYDDFA) but if you pass it on the way back then you missed out on the perfect end to the day. Quite simply the best cafe in Wales
After the weekend my Friend Jo & I had, Kung Fu training at the local Bunk house, dipping in freezing cold stream, almost reaching the top of Mt Snowdon at -15degrees, & fire walking, Steffan was AMAZING offering the best Hot Chocolate I'd ever tasted, the most amazing bara brith cake it was all worth it! I'll most definitely visit this beautiful little cafe again! Thank you for adding to such a mad but wonderful experience!
We loved this place! We’ve just got back to our hotel with tired feet after getting to the summit and back but we also come with a welsh cookbook and cake as compliments from the cafe. We had a lovely drink (mulled wine & hot choc) and of course some welsh cakes. Absolutely lovely - must visit!!! We’ll be back - thank you so much x
We tried a Christmas Day climb to the summit, but the weather beat us back, so we stopped in for a well deserved cuppa, Stefan made us feel so welcome with his pots of tea and tea cakes, then he showed us around his lovely home.
I’ve walked past this lovely place so many times without even popping in, but I think it’s one of them places once you know about this little gem of Welsh hospitality, you too will love it as much as we did, well done Stefan.
Thanks Tim and Paula.
This is Welsh hospitality at it's best. This Cafe is on 15minute walk up the Snowdon footpath from Llanberis, BUT take the footpath from opposite the Royal Victoria Hotel and walk through the woods and it brings you out at the cafe. Steffan serves the best Bara Brith (and I consider myself a connoisseur!) and Hot Chocolate in Wales! The cafe is open all year round and you're made to feel very welcome. They don't serve meals but you can take your own sandwiches in and eat them by the fire! Diolch Angharad Brittle
Beautiful little olde-world cafe, very welcoming staff & gorgeous coffee, although it's origin isn't quite known by the girls. It's a very special local blend obviously! Thank you
Had the most amazing time at this beautiful and very welcoming cafe. Steffan is brilliant and the hot chocolate really is the best in the world. What a treat whilst waiting for my husband John Gammans to come down from the top in awful conditions I took the sensible decision to stop halfway and come off the mountain early and thus had a very pleasant afternoon with other lovely walkers, a great host Steffan and the really sweet Bethan who got Welsh Whisky shots ready for John who needed them after the blizzard conditions at the summit.
Love it here! Steffan and team are amazing! Thanks for the free bara brith and cookbook! Fabulous fire, great welcome, highly recommend the steep hill to get there!
My partner and I stopped here for a cup of tea b4 heading up snowdon. It was a lovely
Family run place, very welcoming for ourselves and r dog. Can't wait to go again xxx
Stopped in today on my way back down, and had some of the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. The proprietor was very friendly and welcoming and took the time to chat about and offer advice about the local area. The two dogs were also very friendly and laid back. Highly recommended. I intend to return.
We stopped on our way back down and the owner could not have been more helpful. Went above and beyond to assist our disabled daughter, even welcoming us into his house for her to use the toilet. Really lovely people; genuine and so kind. Well worth a visit.
Lovely stop after climbing Snowdon. Great location and friendly staff. The Bara Brith Cake is spot on!
Lovely spot and very friendly owner. Couldn't help enough in supporting our friends as they completed a charity event (8 ascents and descent). Coffee was spot on, dog friendly and although we were too wet and cold to hang around, they serve beer! Perfect to finish your hike!
After me and my partner battled gale force winds and rain to climb to the summit of Snowdon we stopped off for a "quick drink". What we found here was quite honestly one of the best places either of us have ever visited. The host Steffan couldn't have been more welcoming, got us sorted with hot cider and coffee with some Bara Brith in front of a roaring open fire. The cottage is lovely with exposed beams and a really homely atmosphere, and Bryn the black Labrador just topped it all off. We bought a jar of local honey, and they also sell t shirts to commemorate your achievement.
I cannot recommend visiting enough, after a hard day's walking it will be just what you need.
Fantastic welcome when we got to the end of our Snowdon climb. Friendly staff including Bryn the dog and loved the personal touch of the owner sitting down to chat - will definitely pop in next time!
We had an incredible experience at Penceunant Isaf on our way back from Snowdon summit stopping for a cold beer 😁The atmosphere was warm. The owner's stories added a personal touch that made the time with local beer even more special. Their anecdotes about the restaurant's history, Welsh language really enhanced our experience. It's not just a place to eat; it's a place to connect with the food, the people, and the stories that bring it all together. Fully recommended!!!

The kindest most welcoming place ever. Upon attempting Snowdon my step daughter decided it wasn't for her so she went back ( quite near the start ) and decided to sit in the cafe while we went up. Nearly 5 hours later we arrived back she was so happy about the people she had met and couldn't speak highly enough about the owner and his family and other customers. She even came out speaking some Welsh. Many thanks for the hospitality I'm just sorry we didn't thank them in person but was rather shattered and not thinking straight. Thanks again Ben x
Stopped here for an ice cream on our way down from snowdon and one of the staff members (maybe one of the owners? Didn’t catch his name!) were so lovely! Told us about a great quiet spot to take the dog for a swim to cool off and just generally very kind and nice! Would highly recommend stopping in for a treat after your hike!
We found this little gem on our way back down from our walk to the summit of Snowdon. The host was amazing, very friendly and hospitable. He even gave us some cake and milk to take with us as we didn't have any 😊😊😊
