Went to the soft launch of the newly opened Yo Sushi. Haven't been to one for a long time and so was keen to try it. The 50% discount on food and drink was also a factor.
All food and drink is now ordered via an website, scan your QR code and away you go. They've removed the system of food on a belt and you now order specific food direct to your section of the belt.
The food arrived promptly and was delicious as I remember. The different sashimi, street food etc are all well made and arrive hot (or cold).
The atmosphere isn't the best and the restaurant is quite cold however with all of the last minute additions being added to the restaurant and the camera crews it's probably not a great bellwether. The tables are also pretty cramped.
It is still very expensive so definitely a treat only unless you're minted. And the automatic 7.5% service charge is a joke for 90% belt based service. Especially when it's added before you've had any service.
4th time visiting and once again was fantastic , wonderful polite service, food was delicious, I highly recommend the chicken gyozas and cherry doughchi. Prompt service, table and surrounding area was very clean. Yo speke is a go to for me now
This new Yo! Is a great new addition to Speke retail park. Staff are very friendly, the place looks very clean and the food is great! To top it off the little one loved her bento box, but might need some practice with her chopsticks!

Lovely new restaurant added to the already popular retail park! Staff were friendly, even the robot who collected my empty plates. Of which there were many. The food, as ever was tasty and plentiful, delivered direct to our table via the signature Yo! belt. Great to have you in the area. Be back again soon!
Lunchtime for the soft launch. The space has been fitted out beautifully and the new belts are great though I did find myself forgetting that my dishes would stop by me automatically and almost picked up someone else's. The app ordering system is great though it would be annoying if I didn't have full battery. I'm not sure about the tipping before service either. The food was delicious and I would come again. It's in good proximity to the cinema and the bowling alley for ease of access.
Stunning food and excellent service, just as every other Yo Sushi I've been!!

I've been visiting YO! since the first branch opened at Liverpool One over 10 years ago and have always been a big fan. My first visit to the Speke branch was pleasant. We visited before a film and were seated quickly by friendly and attentive staff.
The food itself was good quality, I ordered Miso Soup, Salmon Nigiri, Maki and Sashimi all of which were fresh and tasty.
The prices have risen significantly over the past few years and some of the menu items do seem to have either lowered in portion size and/or quality, however there was a deal for 3 select plates for £8.95 which offered decent enough value on the day.
My main criticism is the removal of the plates in general rotation on the belt. This was the biggest selling point of YO! to me as it encouraged patrons to try new dishes and was a crucial part of the experience. I understand the change in practice during the COVID pandemic and subsequent restrictions, however now in the so-called 'post-COVID' world, it's disappointing that they have not reverted to the previous system.
Beautiful new restaurant in great location if shopping or having day out with family. We went just few days after opening and both: food and staff were amazing, we love YO! it never disappoints. Good luck to the team , we will be back.

My first time at Yo and I loved it. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are fantastic, so welcoming and helpful. I came with my partner and friends and we all ordered multiple dishes each and they were all delicious Can highly recommend the Korean fried chicken, teriyaki chicken bowl and the cherry dough-chi. I’m looking forward to my next visit .
Came to YO in Speke the other day - not been open long and it was such a nice restaurant and the food was lovely. All came really quickly and was so tasty - theres loads of veggie and vegan options. Staff were really friendly and just a general good atmosphere - will definitely be visiting again
