Booked a table here for my birthday brunch, despite it being a busy Saturday morning (& us being a big party + a toddler) the staff were absolutely amazing, so attentive & polite.
I’ve visited before and decided on the place for my birthday because of the food, it’s SO good… special mention to the French Toast (omg). I wasn’t let down, the food and drinks (elderflower spritz was the best thing I drank all day) were amazing!
- again, despite it being busy the quality of every dish and drink we ordered was 11/10!! So tasty & delicious, and all arrived nice and fast.
I can’t thank the staff, front and back, enough for a wonderful service and making the day so special, thank you!
This place is a little gem. Totally authentic and great service and atmosphere. We came for a light lunch and stayed having good wine. We ate figs on whipped goat's cheese, perfect! Little deli items, great couldn't resist the bisque. And a hot French baguette to go. Definitely be back soon.
Amazing little gem. The menu changes regularly based on the ingredients available, so everything is fresh, tasty, and in season. Great food, well cooked, served in a lovely setting, by friendly and knowledgeable staff.... What's not to like!
They've got great wine and deli selection and sauces, jams, and other ingredients. Treat !yourself
What a gorge little place! We came here for a glass of wine, the waiter was knowledgable and gave us a try before we committed to a bottle. Loads of great French produce is on sale too which I’ll be coming back for as they’ll make amazing gifts. Lovely atmosphere and really well priced. We’ll be back for brunch!
All things French What a delightful bistro .Delicious brunch served by well-informed staff. It is dog friendly.
The charcuterie and cheese board was delicious, as was the small quiche ... truly tasty . Will definitely check it out for an evening experience . (Chairs could be more comfortable would be my ony comment .)
Absolutely lovely cafe/delicatessen with a fantastic ambiance, gorgeous fresh food (I had the mushroom with a light pastry - wished I'd paired with a glass of red wine, rather than a coffee), and attentive service. Really relaxing stop on our way to a walk around Sefton Park. I can see this becoming a regular pit stop on our journeys around the area. Decor is tastefully put together with a bright and airy feel. Brilliant new venue on Smithdown. A real credit to the local owners. Shame I didn't get some better photos, go and see for yourself as it's definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
It was sad they didn't have croque monsieur but other menus were really tasty and staff was lovely too.
Lovely local bistro. Excellent choice of small or large plates. Well cooked fresh ingredients. Superb service and convivial atmosphere. Good choice of reasonably priced wine.
Oh, the charms of Liverpool’s Smithdown Road have been elevated with the addition of Epicerie Fine! This gem of a café/restaurant is a delightful escape to the rustic alleys of Paris without ever leaving the heart of Liverpool.
First, let’s talk about the food - it’s simply divine. Each dish is a love letter to French cuisine, crafted with passion and flair. From the buttery croissants to hearty mains, every bite promises a gastronomic journey to the heart of France. And the drinks? The coffee would make any Parisian nod in approval, while the wine list offers a curated tour of France’s finest vineyards.
But it’s not just about what’s on the plate or in the cup. The ambiance is equally intoxicating. Whether you’re whispering sweet nothings on a romantic date, enjoying quality family time, or hunting for a cozy nook to get some work done, Epicerie Fine sets the scene just right. And with its affordable prices, you can indulge without breaking the bank.
The event nights? An absolute must. They’re the kind of evenings you’ll chat about for weeks, bringing a sprinkle of French festivity to Liverpool.
Yet, what truly makes Epicerie Fine shine is its wonderful staff. A special shout-out to Niall and Sarah, who, with their impeccable service and warm smiles, make every visit feel like a return to a beloved friend’s home.
In essence, Epicerie Fine is more than just a café or a restaurant. It’s a slice of France in Liverpool, welcoming everyone with open arms. Whether you’re seeking a delicious meal, a glass of exquisite wine, or simply a corner to relax in, this is the place to be. À la vôtre!
Nice little French cafe on Smithdown Road, how cool is that! Great for morning coffees, relaxed lunches and classy evening meals too! We're very lucky to have placed like this. Also has a deli with otherwise hard to source French cheeses and charcuteries and wines, including Methode Ancestrale Limoux sparkling.
