Incredible venue for a joint 21st party we hosted. Couldn’t fault the venue or the staff, incredibly attentive and helpful and all round lovely people. The whole bar had an amazing atmosphere, will definitely be back. Owen, Tom and Megan looked after us all night and were amazing. 10/10 bar and people.
One of my favourite bars in the city! We arrived and were taken into the bar room straight away by a lovely man, we then went on to be served by Owen and Dan, we were looked after for the whole night and had an amazing time. Even drinks that weren't on the menu weren't an issue and were presented so well! Will definitely be back
One of my favourite establishments In Liverpool - The service is is 10/10. Whether your looking for a quite drink or something more indulgent the team there will look after you. If you have the pleasure of Dan making your cocktails - you're in for a sensation evening.
Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, happy to impart information about various different drinks and cocktails. The bar is quietly sophisticated. A lovely place to spend some time with people you want to talk to.

Absolutely love the royal institution! The cocktails are amazing - we described the kind of drinks we like and the bartender made us all our own different cocktails. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful cocktail bar: not only the cocktail card looks interesting but it actually delivers. Cocktails are rich, very well balanced and interesting in flavor combinations. Place is definitely worth visiting.
One thing that no one warns you about when booking a function room: They are DARK. I don't mean "mood lighting". I mean "I can't see the menu at all" dark. The lighting in the function rooms CAN be brighter - it's controlled outside of the room. Staff say it can't be changed, then after another request, they do it. I've been there twice for functions and both times we've been surprised how dark the rooms are. Both times we've requested they do something about it. Just raise the lighting a bit by default and the function rooms would be lovely. Cheers!
Came in the evening for some Jazz and cocktails.
The drinks were great and the Jazz was fantastic. Service was good as well. Very nice, cozy atmosphere in a central location.

A beautiful find for me and my sister this past Friday. The music was great, the staff were lovely and the cocktails were some of the best we have ever tasted. We will definitely be back.
Great cocktail bar with a lovely atmosphere and venue. There are always new cocktails to try on the menu and Tom made us feel welcome with table service and the brilliant ‘Bernards Banoffee’ cocktail!
Don't normally go to cocktail bars, however I was pleasantly surprised by how much of a great time I had in RI last night. Smashing cocktails, reasonably priced and the waitress Megan was great!
Attended today for a hen do! Granted I’d never heard of it before coming but now I’ve been I will 100% return, bar staff Adam and Tom were both delightful bartenders, excellent at cocktail making and overall great company! Definitely will be recommending!!
A great Jazz night on Wednesday with fabulous cocktails made by Tom. Highly recommend and will be back soon to try more of the menu.
