Just having a full English as I type. It is probably one of the nicest I have EVER had. The food is cooked to perfection:
2 x proper meaty sausages (not the cheap ones you are often served)
2 x beautiful lean bacon
2 x fried eggs
1 x flat mushroom
1 x black pudding
1 x grilled tomato
1 x portion of Heinz beans
2 x rounds of buttered thick toast
The food was lovely prepared and plated.
The venue has a really nice vibe and it is spotless and clean. You can see through to the kitchens and they are pristine.
The staff are really attentive and are pleasant. They have lovely smart uniforms
I think I have found our new go-to place..
Another visit to the best breakfast place in Liverpool! Absolutely brilliant food, cooked fresh and to perfection. The staff provide not only great service with a smile but are also friendly and polite which makes Blackdoor a great start to the day.
Came here for lunch one afternoon with the wife after hearing good things and it was boss. Katsu chicken burger and Salt & Pepper wrap were amazing.
The homemade coleslaw on the side was the best I've ever had!
Even the coffee was spot on.
Just been for breakfast this morning, staff are very welcoming! Quick service, clean and the food was beautiful! Will be returning. Great value for money.
Went in Yesterday. The large breakfast was amazing, loved the poached eggs in particular. The eggs Benedict was a bit lacking in flavour (the sauce) but thats a constructive comment as the quality of the food is really good. Bit of a long wait but we could see you were busy. Servers were lovely, don't worry about the dropping of plates, as it happens.
My son and partner took me here for lunch with their little dog as its pet friendly What a lovely place. Staff are friendly and food delicious. Son had big breakfast and I had skinny one. His partner had club sandwich. All meals were yummy. Highly recommend and will be visiting again.
Definitely the best place for food in West Derby and possibly The best breakfast in Liverpool here. Staff are always so friendly welcoming and just so natural not forced.
I've been a few times now and each time has been perfect.
The salt and pepper halloumi burger is my favourite. I've got 5 fussy daughters and they haven't come up with a single fault here. One of my girls no longer lives in Liverpool but when she comes to visit Blackdoor is the place she chooses to go to.
We had breakfast, nice chilled vibes, tasty food, and friendly staff. All in all, great experience. Would definitely recommend and return.

Food is great. Best breakfast in West Derby. Just one tiny recommendation is to add avocado to the veggie breakfast.

Four of us went for lunch to The Black Door one Friday recently. We managed to get a table - we were lucky as it was the last one available.
The food was lovely and competitively priced. I had a beautiful burger (ever so slightly overcooked - I prefer it like that rather than undercooked) which was served with decent fries etc. The other diners in our party raved about their food - it looked delicious.
The service at The Black Door was really excellent. Service with a smile - and nothing was too much trouble.
The Black Door really is a little gem in West Derby Village and deserves to be very successful.
(Its opening hours baffle me - they could make a killing from local schools/nurseries by opening at times when mums (and dads too!) can meet prior to picking up their kids - and maybe call in for coffee/cake afterwards with their kids. There must be a reason why it doesn't but I think that they are missing a trick.)
First time at this amazing little bistro on Friday with my son and his girlfriend staff are lovely food is amazing perfectly cooked and fantastic quality would highly recommended definitely worth a visit

The Blackdoor Bistro is a little gem in West Derby. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is friendly and the staff are simply brilliant. I really enjoy and appreciate my visits to the Blackdoor and I've just come back today from a very fine lunch. The food is great value for money and the portions are generous. If you've not yet been to the Blackdoor then you're missing out. A brilliant place.
Black Door in West Derby Village cannot be faulted!!! Food is beautiful and menu is a little different! The service was 100% top notch. You have to visit to appreciate how good this place is!! Its definitely my go to place from now on. Amazing!!!! 10/10.
Black door bistro 1st evervisit.... Had relatives and doggie up from London sister in law booked us a table because of their dog friendly policy (we are iliving in Liverpool and sadly didn't know about the bistro till now) ... What can we say apart from WOW!! five of us had a superb lunch great Food brilliant place and of all superb price as well (cost us just under £60 and we were all stuffed..... Relatives have gone home now but guarantee we will be back again soon for another sneaky brunch!
Lovely friendly staff who couldn't have looked after the four of us better. Gorgeous cheesecake too! Mmmm. Will certainly go again very soon.
