I always come here never dissatisfied with anything on the menu the sweet and sour is always amazing as is the fried chicken and mushroom Ste the manager always makes sure that he looks after all his customers and they are well served and he always cooks fresh to order nothing is too much trouble for him or his staff 5 star โญ๏ธ ๐ ๐
First time ordering. Delivered in 20 minutes, piping hot. Great food - Northern crispy chilli beef was the stand out. Excellent flavour, crunchy veg and lovely crispy texture to the beef....not soft and chewy like some! Really decent portions too. Looking forward to trying what else the menu has to offer.
Top quality scran. Always fresh and cooked to perfection. No cheap rubbish in this place.
The owner is always friendly and gives great service.

The food was nice and the portion sizes are good. The only thing was the chips were slightly underdone and a little hard inside. Other than though itโs a nice takeaway and I would order from here again.

We are now regulars and know what we like from the menu. the Crispy duck is my wifeโs favourite and We both like the House Specials that come with samples of chicken, beef, pork and prawns - my current favourite is the Chinese curry. Generous portions and quick delivery are normal. We phone the restaurant direct and get great service.
What an amazing place! Regularly used these guys when we stayed at the local hotel, whenever we are in the area we use them still. Such amazing fresh food! Also have no problems adjusting an order for fussy people like myself. I honestly feel the chicken noodle soup played a part in me getting better thank you all inside the shop end delivery drivers.
First time I've tried the salt and pepper house and it won't be the last, we ordered crispy beef Northern style, pork balls in hot and sour sauce and finally a house special in blackbean sauce . Food was delicious and great size portions for the price we paid. Can't wait to try more dishes on the menu.

Listen if you donโt order the staples : salt and pepper squid, peking hot and sour soup (yes not the artificial orange one), veg rolls, pickled veg . . . The list is endless . . . You are a fool! Ste the owner is trying to do something different here with different dishes from the โstandardโ Chinese takeaway stuff, with Peking , northern, dishes.
Spring onion pancakes / not anything like crispy duck pancakes - traditional Peking brown ribs, northern sweet and sour chicken - a cross between sweet and sour and lemon Chicken and his fabulous northern crispy chilli beef that stays crispy through everything
Ask for a side order of pickled veg.
They are not always on but ask when you phone.
Itโs different if you want it or itโs standard if you want that but itโs great food whatever way you take it.
Second time trying this place. My favourite is the northern crispy beef. Its a lot different to other places, the batter stays crispy and doesn't dry up and go chewy. I was speaking to the woman on the till and she informed me that the chef came from the same school of Chef's under Mr Lau in the 80s. They had a famous restaurant in Sefton Park and had a notable student who had Chau's in Tuebrook. She told me it was authentic Peking cuisine which is rare to find in Liverpool. I'll be back again to try some other dishes that the kind lady had recommended
Absolutely beautiful food. I had Salt/Pepper Ribs (they are to die for) Plentiful,red hot & cooked to perfection.
Main course was Special Chow Mein, it was huge & it was beautiful & tasty.
There are other Peking/Cantonese establishments that could take some lessons from this fantastic venue. AMAZING. Just Saying.

Changing my review, had a natter with Ste, lovely guy, I explained my angry review and he offered an explanation, also offered me a free meal so I only felt it right to make amends on here, 4 stars just for the chat and the lovely offer. Excellent salt and pepper chicken, btw! I didn't say that first time round. Cheers, mate ๐ป I'll be back!
Best Chinese I have been to in South Liverpool, such an exstensive variety of dishes including Tofu and other vegetarian. Never wait long and food is fresh with excellent potions

Ive been hearing about this place from family who lives nearby, i live miles away in Crosby and had to drive all the way down to try what was recommended to me. Ordered over ยฃ40 cos dont really go down these ways. What i can say is that the food is FABULOUS. Its that good i will break it down on bullet points:
1. Crispy beef northern style: got recommended claiming that the beef stays crispy even after many hours... TRUE.... however my cousin who ordered it, told me to get it without veg, that way you can get well more beef ๐๐ the carrot batons and the onions you can add yourself, lol during this pandemic you have to try and get the most for value, if you ask the meal without veg, you get at least double the amount of beef. Major thumbs up for that๐๐๐
2. King prawn chilli garlic: ask again without veg, they give 12 pieces with veg anyway, but if you ask without veg... you get at least 16 king prawns ๐๐๐
3. Same applies to salt and pepper king prawn.. ask with no veg... you get well more
4. Lemon chicken and peking duck:
This place is so generous they fry a whole duck then chop it evenly... defo value for its price... the chicken is totally overfilled to the rim... defo better than any china town restaurant!!!!
5. the owner which i told was STE will always throw in free spring rolls and crispy wantons when you order over ยฃ30... major attraction
6. The service is impeccable, the owner ste comes out of the kitchen even in the middle of service at weekends when it is the most busy and thanks you for the custom and gives you a free 2 litre bottle of your choice too๐๐๐๐
