10/10 for quality, price and service! Totally authentic
Bao and Bap is always my to-go restaurant when thinking of Asian food. I always come here after work for good food with my colleagues. I recommend salt and pepper crispy tofu for starters. The tofu is perfectly fried with salt and pepper as a seasoning, nothing to say much, it’s just perfect on its own. For the main, I always go for Beef brisket (spicy) noodle, always go for hand-made noodle. The beef is so tender, no need to chew 😄. The soup is yummy, it’s just about right for me and not too spicy nor salty. Another main to recommend is Spicy pork rib with rice; the rib is so tender and their sauce is so good. When you eat with rice, it’s just perfect. Recommended 😄
First visit to Bao&Bap. We had spring rolls, spicy chicken wings, bibimbap, beef rice and Malaysian curry/laksa.
It was delicious, good value for money and will recommend!
Amazing food and great flavour with good size portions. Staff were all lovely and friendly. I would recommend to anybody around the area looking for pan Asian cuisine selection. The beef ribs were soft and juicy and the other dishes were also great all at reasonable prices. Only managed to take a photo of the Korean fried chicken wings, but I am definitely going again :)
(Apologies for unjust photos we couldn’t wait to eat)
Me and my friend had been excited to try here for some time and I can safely say it was definitely worth it.
Pork pan fried dumplings, shredded chicken, Korean sweet and hot wings, salt and pepper chips, kimchi and katsu curry were our starters/ sides and we were GREATLY pleased with the flavour of our food as it tasted very much cooked to order and fresh.
Our mains were the katsu chicken rice bowl and Malaysian prawn curry rice bowl and these dishes along our remaining sides finished the meal off perfectly due too their heat/spice, flavour, freshness and also how well the food settled. Safely to say we probably looked like we hadn’t eaten in weeks with how much we enjoyed the food.
This alongside how friendly and clearly hard working and attentive the staff are would make me recommend this place too anyone who loves a comforting meal.
Curry was amazing, sweet and sour was amazing. Good value for money too. Will be making this my new regular
Really nice little place. A little hidden, but worth looking for. It's a tiny little cafe, serving properly authentic casual Asian food. Really nice noodle dishes - so much flavour, and the spicy dishes are really nice and hot. Highly recommend the beef noodles.
I'll definitely be back here - it's perfect for a quick bite to eat.
The best asian food restaurant in Liverpool. Decent and authentic taste, big portion, unbelievable price(no service charge! I'm wondering why), great staffs. I went to there for every dinner during my stay. If you are a big fan of spicy food, you must try its hot pot which is seriously marvelous. Side menus are also wonderful, especially egg fried rice is awesome.
Authentic grub, and lovely staff. They actually brought more dumplings out to us because the chef wasn’t happy with how they’d prepare the order, which was a lovely thing to do.
My recommendation is the Korean wings, which are to die for. This place does really good bibimbap too!
We will be coming back!
This discreet gem of a restaurant beckons you with enticing, aromatic wafts that extend a warm invitation right from the bustling street. Reservations are highly recommended due to the limited seating, a testament to the popularity of this hidden culinary haven. Stepping inside, the ambiance greets you with the warmth of both the decor and the affable staff.
The space exudes a pristine and snug atmosphere, creating an immediate sense of comfort that is further elevated by the arrival of piping hot and delectable dishes.
In my culinary exploration, I opted for the wings and a pork belly pocket bun, while my companion indulged in the exquisite Special Beef Brisket Soup Noodles and the flavorful S & P Shredded Squid.
The irresistible allure of each dish made sharing an inevitability, as the tantalizing appearance and aroma of the food captured our senses. I found myself particularly captivated by the S & P Shredded Squid and the Special Beef Brisket Soup Noodles, a perennial favorite for my friend who has been a loyal patron since the restaurant's inception.
Undoubtedly, this establishment is a must-try for anyone seeking a combination of flavorful cuisine and affordability. An experience that not only satisfies the palate but leaves you eager to return for more!
I was staying in a hostel nearby and noticed this small restaurant on my way to my accommodation. Luckily I tried it immediately on the first evening and I came back every other day to have dinner and try as much as I can. Staff is super friendly, food is amazing and all in all it is a place to feel comfortable. 🥰 thanks again for the great food, highly recommended!
Great authentic Asian food.
Lots of Asian people eating there - always a good sign.
Reasonably priced. Good spicy flavours.

What a gem of a restaurant! Staff who are keen to answer any questions and make recommendations. The dumplings are a great starter and I always opt for the crispy chilli beef but the udon noodles are also outstanding. Really good value and you will never leave hungry.
Amazing little place with attentive and friendly staff, massive portions and delicious food! 3 main courses, 3 staters, 1 pudding and drinks only came to £50!
Well worth checking out if you’re in the area
Fantastic little business. In city for conference and found a little gem. Food was as good as we’ve found anywhere. Braised pork belly pocket bun was sensational. Staff a delight.
Lovely little place on Rodney Street. Four tables so book ahead. Food outstanding, big portions. Korean, Malaysian, Thai. Had salt and pepper mushrooms and Malaysian Curry with veggies and tofu. There are meat options! Will definitely be back.
Fantastic place. Lovely staff, amazing food. Tofu heaven for veggies/vegans. If you're lucky enough to get a table you won't be disappointed!
Visiting Liverpool again but for the Mrs 40th. Always looking for authentic japanese food and this place is amazing. Service was great, food arrived promptly and 🔥. Good music playing in the background and not too loud.
Literally can't fault this place. Was planning to go again but saving it for our next trip. The best things go to those who wait. Highly recommended.
