A little disappointed in the food, the steak was flavourless, a couple of our party experienced vomiting afterwards once at home too, not the standard we have experienced before, the haloumi strips were not cooked enough, felt like they were rubber. We enjoyed a carvery today for Mother’s Day. We were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table promptly. Service at the bar was quick and efficient Joanne was so helpful and Emma on the ice cream bar was brilliant with the kids. Perfect family atmosphere.
Stopped off for a carvery on Sunday the food was all served hot and full always constantly replenished and cleaned. The service is always friendly and polite they can't do more for you! It is definitely one of my favourite go to pubs in that area!
Two big plus points for this place. It's in a lovely historic building. And it wasn't a bun fight to get food like it often is at a cauvery on a Sunday. In fact it's probably the best carvery I've been to. Staff are friendly and helpful.
