I ate breakfast at Mike's Kitchen on September 26, while in Liverpool for a weekend and for a trip to Anfield. Two friends and I stayed in an airbnb near Anfield and found Mike's place through google maps.
It's a real, genuine Liverpool cafe -- one that before google maps would likely only be known by locals. Now visitors like me get to experience it.
Also, it was great value -- £7 for a full English breakfast, including the beverage!
This was my second visit, but sadly not had anything to eat here yet. This is due to time restraints on my behalf. I have seen the food being taken to other tables and I must admit, it looks pretty damn good. The next time I visit, I will have something to eat, even if its only a bacon buttie. The place is very clean, bright and airy. One of my pet hates are dirty tables when you sit down, but all the tables were clear and clean. The prices seem very reasonable for the food and drinks. I ordered a cup of tea and it was delivered to the table by one of the staff. I was given a large mug, a teapot which held 2 full mugs of tea and of course, enough milk for the 2 teas. The cost was £1, yes I've typed that correctly £1. The staff were friendly, and I suppose still are, ha! Overall I think they deserve 5 stars for each of my visits, I hope to be able to still give 5 stars when I've had something to eat, which will be within a week. Great breakfast served all day. I go here before I go to Goodison to chill out before the game. Nice friendly staff.
Super breakfasts, everything cooked well and not greasy. Lovely staff and fast service. Also serves the nicest cuppa on County Road! The only negative would be the tired decor and the uncomfortable chairs but hey you don't look at the mantlepiece while you're poking the fire!
What a great place, had a big breakfast before the game,really enjoyed it down to earth good food and staff are lovely. Also don't forget its there everyday not just match day's.
Can't beat a bacon on toast cooked very well. Plus the prices are respectful. Very busy the whole time we are here.

Good choice for a pre-match lunch, Everton fans and visitors welcome. Full English, fish and chips, jacket potatoes, scouse, all for between 3 and 5 pounds; hot and cold sandwiches, tea, coffee and cold drinks available, quick service and friendly staff. I'll be back.
Nice friendly and very clean, bacon and egg on toast was lovley, and the coffee was better than some dear ones ive had.
Usually go in but due to circumstances had it delivered. Was delivered quickly food was hot and very enjoyable. The do a really good full English.
