Good value meals. Cathy was amazing and really added to the dining experience. Nothing was too much for Cathy, and it was clear she works really hard being the only waitress, but nonetheless she ensures guests are looked after. I would return again just to see the lovely Cathy!
Food was great. As always Cathy looked after us really well. But why only one person to wait at table? Sometimes quite a long wait for food.
Went here recently with a friend from the university across the street and the food, atmosphere and staff were absolutely incredible. The server, Cathy, was brilliant and insanely lovely, and always is whenever we visit.

Came in today to taste the new menu and it was spectacular! The food was amazing, the lady who served us Cathy was lovely, always asking us about drink refills and the man behind the bar mark always had a smile on his face, the staff in here are nothing but friendly, thank you halfway!
Lovely evening meal at the Halfway House tonight, made even nicer by Cathy. She was very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Many thanks Cathy! We’ll be back!!
Stopped here Saturday early evening. Had Jerk chicken skewers and rice on bed of veg on a skillet hot plate and husband had a steak with a hot sauce and chips. It was delicious, well cooked and clean plates from both of us. The cost with two drinks came to £28, amazing value for cost of living. Will be back.

Absolutely fantastic I haven't been there for over 20 yrs and I can say I will 💯% I will be definitely going back, the food was amazing our server Cathy was lovely nothing was to much trouble for her she made our visit very pleasant, so happy and friendly 😊
Lovely waitress was busy, but she was very attentive. Best steak I've had from a sizzler restaurant.
It wasn’t too bad, I admit the tables felt unclean and the food was adequate. However, the bread buns for the burger and hot dog were a bit dry and crispy. Also I wasn’t granted blue light discount, because the lady behind the till didn’t know how to do the discount. So staff may need extra training and rework on food.
However, due to the friendly atmosphere I would be happy to come again for food and drinks.
Had a 16th birthday meal for my granddaughter with 15 guests. Absolutely amazing service from Cathy she was so attentive and nothing was too much for her, lovely smiles.
The meals were delicious and were served on time as everyone was eating at the same time which is great 👍. Can’t fault the halfway house and it’s are 2nd time there. Will definitely be rebooking again, Thank you 😊

Best burger I’ve tasted in a long time. Polished it off with a waffle and ice cream and now I am well and truly stuffed!!! Great team that looked after us :) I would say I am some what of an expert on spiced rum but over never seen the cherry flavour. So of course I had to sample a double… then another. Decent

Excellent choice on the menu. We had a really lovely meal. I love the fact that you can have a smaller meal if, like me, you don’t have a big appetite. The food was lovely and very good value for money indeed. Our waitress, Cathy, couldn’t do enough for us and was fantastic. She didn’t write anything down but remembered everything we asked for!
Staff are amazing! So lovely and there to help whenever you need, all staff are very knowledgeable and they aren’t shy to have a laugh with you! I will be coming again!!
Decent pub with good grub!
Popped in at lunch for a pint and fish and chips. Really good value for a pint of Guinness, a pint of brew dog and two fish and chips! The food was solid, and a well-poured Guinness.
They had a good selection of beer and the staff were friendly. I would return!
