Really well situated within easy walking distance to the station, shops and docks. The room was clean and well presented and comfortable with a small fridge and safe in addition to an iron, ironing board and hairdryer. The only thing missing was a shower cap. Breakfast was a normal buffet and was adequate for the price paid. I would definitely recommend it to friends and would stay there again.
Had a great stay with my two young sons. Loved the pool. The room had everything we needed including a small fridge to keep our lunches/drinks cool. Loved the carpet in the room . Pillows and curtains could use updating. Great breakfast! Shower/tub good pressure/size but mould in corners. Lots of towels and sofa bed prepped for sleeping. Loved the touch of having umbrellas to borrow. Very friendly staff especially the breakfast staff. Remember to book the pool ahead of time. A good stay! Thank you!
Excellent location, lovely staff on reception.
Room was spacious even for a family of 4, the second bed was MUCH comfier than the last time we stayed.
My sleep was disturbed but only because the room was far too warm and the air conditioning wasn't working very well.
Great hotel in the centre of Liverpool. 9 minutes from Lime Street Station and shop, bars and places to visit within easy walking distance. Great breakfast, plenty of choice and well cooked. Lovely hotel atmosphere too for chilling. Pool was great, book your slot and it's easy. Not huge and children were in there so it was a bit busy. Still really nice tho for an evening swim. Certainly stay here again.
Had a lovely few nights here. Hotel is situated in perfect location in Liverpool City centre. Walking distance to all attractions. Food was lovely in hotel (had dinner and breakfasts here). Very reasonably priced. Staff helpful and friendly. Had room on floor 10 with excellent view of city and Albert Dock. Comfortable beds in room which was also equipped with TV, bath/shower, fridge and safe. Only negative is that the room was very warm at lowest temperature setting. Overall experience was excellent, would definitely recommend.
Potential to be the best hotel in Liverpool. Perfect location, great staff.
Only let down is the rooms, they are really tired in some places & extremely hot on the higher floors. Aircon is actually just a fan that circulates warm air around.
Staff will provide fans is requested, which helps a bit!
Breakfast is great, pool & sauna nice, bar ok for a welcome drink.
Overall good, could be perfect with a bit of investment.
This hotel was fantastic — had everything I needed for a comfortable stay! Upon arrival, they upgraded me to an executive room which was quite large and comfortable. The location is also amazing, being close to shopping, the waterfront, Bolt street, and more!
The reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because:
- It was quite loud at night in the streets, with not much noise blocking from that. So particularly on a Saturday night it was rough to get sleep. I was also right by the loading docks for the shops which made it sometimes loud in the mornings when truck deliveries were being made.
- The room was pretty clean, but there were definitely some areas where it could be improved, with some clear water damage in the ceiling, and some indiscriminate markings up above regular arm height. Main areas were seemingly clean, but it could use a bit more of a deep clean.
- Pillows are a bit floppy, but I’m pretty picky about my pillows so this is definitely more a me thing!
- Breakfast buffet in the restaurant is £18 and imo not worth it. The in-room service is the same cost, which makes sense because it’s in your room, but in person the value was not there. Definitely not worth it unless you’re in a hurry/want something convenient—there are lots of better options close by!
Had a really good stay here, were very clean and spacious rooms. Atmosphere and location was really good. Had some issues with the key and opening one of the room doors and was a reoccurring issue and the receptionist kept informing us that it was because it was past 12am which made no sense because the other room door was fine.
I stayed overnight in an executive room which was really nice - very spacious and well equipped with mini fridge and a coffee maker. It also had a view of the city as it is very central.
The bathroom was very large with a separate bath and a walk in shower.
The large bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast in the morning was buffet style. There was plenty of choice and the food was good.
Qpark right next to hotel and handy Home Bargains. It is also just yards from Central train station. The Hotel Receptionist was extremely polite and helpful. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The Hotel has a Swimming pool although we didn't use it this time. We have already booked again for next year.
excellent hotel stayed 2 nights lovely bar and less than a 5 min walk to a lively part of Liverpool I would stay again in a heartbeak. rooms were lovely and comfy only strange thing is the toilet is a separate room with no sink to was your hands which I don't like shower/bath and sink were beside it
We had a comfortable stay at the Novotel.
All staff were lovely but there simply weren't enough of them. We waited at the bar one evening for 10 minutes but no one came to serve us so after looking around for someone we left.
The pool and gym facilities are very good and very clean but they were overbooked or people weren't sticking to timeslots or just turning up without booking, this could do with being policed a bit better.
The room was light and spacious but the air con did not work so we had to leave the window open which led to us being woken up at 6am to bins being emptied outside.
The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and well cooked food and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
We would definitely stay again as the location is just great but a few little improvements wouldn't go a miss.
We will definitely be returning, 9/10 as the only thing we were unable to do with a family of 5 was book an adjoined room which would have been super handy with 3 children aged 5 and under, even though requested in the notes when we arrived it was not available on arrival. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, facilities were great and rooms were clean.
Stayed for 2 nights. room was on the top floor and so so quiet.
We had the pool and sauna to ourselves and both were spotless.
Best bit for us is we had an early start on leaving and the staff kindly made up 2 x breakfast boxes for us as we were too early for breakfast.
No problem with the car park as we booked ahead .
Highly recommended.
Had a great stay in Liverpool, on a family weekend, visiting museums and theatre shows. Great location for all central attractions. Only downside to our stay was that the room was positioned above the busy street - it was expected that being so central, there would be some noise in the late hours of a weekend, but it sounded as if our window was open all night, with a party outside of it (it wasn’t - it was triple checked!). I’d recommend asking for a room away from the street, if you have children or value your sleep (we were in rm 420).
Booked this stay 8 months ago and on previous stays the car park discount was applied at the hotel reception. On this stay I was advised that the guest has to register for the discount when booking. If this was not in force at the time of booking how could I register? Was told that a refund would be made to my account but still waiting. Other than that, the accommodation was excellent as were the staff. Breakfast was acceptable.
