I went here for lunch today with my boyfriend and his two daughters, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was just lovely. I would recommend City Buffet 100%
Wow what a great lunch I've just had with the best dessert every taken back to childhood. Warm welcome from the start to the end and features in there add a wonderful atmosphere and touch of class, waterfall.

A warm friendly atmosphere. Been here twice now and not been disappointed. The place is very clean, with a huge choice of delicous foods available. Both times a waiter has taken our drinks order and brought them to our table. Just £7.50 for the buffet, which I think is great value. Definitely going again soon!

I had a small get together here with my family after my graduation from the University of Liverpool. Oh!!! The Fun we had. The restaurant Is below street level so we had to go down a flight of stairs. They had this old elevator for people with mobility issues. I was able to get my baby down in her stroller using this. Once we get walked in, we were attended to by the maitre'd. Lovely reception. Our order for drinks were immediately taken and the wait staff was just a beckon away. The buffet was piping hot and just as a tray was almost finishing they replenished.
They array of deserts was also very satisfactory. It was truly a all you can eat. We all felt that we got value for our money and will definitely visit again.
Great Experience! I ate to my heart's content. Then the dessert was sinful. Not too sweet and definitely not bland. Was there with my family and everyone enjoyed themselves a lot. Truely, it's the place to go to have a nice time.
I have been there many times with friends for a night out and took my family there also for a meal, the services we received was great. The restaurant was clean, tables well lead out. The foods well cooked and delicious. For the price you pay it is worth it. You eat as much as you can, they might charge you for the drinks but you cares as long as your stomach is full and happy. I will always go back whenever we have a night out. WELL DONE BUFFET STAR and keep it up.
Before rush hour I suppose it was very easy to visit, had nice staff 4mths ago around 4pm. The plastic soup dishes are appealing though I would not call them clean plus they are so stained from the old wear it's like embedded. Some Vegetables(cucumber) or fruit (melon too cold to eat though I doubt it should be like that but great variety and good value on a city break in a cold month, toilets okay as well cheers
Just love eating here...plenty of food to choose from...place is always clean and staff always on hand..service good. Good place to eat .
Very impressed, loads to choose from, loads of starters and every main course even the sweets were brilliant. We nearly didn't come in because the reviews were mixed but this is one place I would eat again. Oh and the staff were very helpful and attentive.
Went to City Buffet on 8 August for evening meal with 2 work colleagues.
Staff friendly and courteous, the seating arrangement is slightly canteen style, but this is a buffet experience- your not going for plush carpet and silver service !!
The food choice was amazing ! Pork dumplings, prawns, squid, chicken, pork ribs, beef, duck..... I could go on for ages.
All very tasty, and not ‘stewed’.
We are back in Liverpool working next week- and will definitely be eating here again!!
Value for money for the weekday lunch at only 8.20. Variety of food was good and taste was decent enough for the price. The standout for me was the crispy fried seaweed. Go here to stuff yourself wuthout blowing a hole in your pocket. Not the most authentic but it's a decent take on it
