Gorgeous place, we had afternoon tea at the weekend which we enjoyed. Not sure if cakes were homemade but delicious none the less. Beautiful building and design, interior decor (tables/chairs) could do with an update to match the grand surroundings. Very attentive staff too 😊
The most exceptional place to have your wedding service. We booked this over 2 years ago and ever since, Laura and Sue have been the most caring wedding planners possible. They put so much work into making sure our day was exceptional and we absolutely loved it.
The pressure on any planners to live to the expectations of wedding couples is quite daunting I imagine. But it was never a problem for the Racquet Club and they could only do more for us. The venue was beautiful and classy, the food was delicious and the way they looked after all our guests made us very happy we picked this venue. If you want a wedding that has a historical venue with class and elegance and very helpful staff, you can’t do much better than the Racquet Club. Ziba was also a lovely space to have drinks and canapés as well!
We didn't stay in the hotel part this time, just the restaurant for afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was lovely, as are the staff. Will definitely visit again.
Took my 16 year old great noece for afternoon tea. Lovely setting, friendly staff and gorgeous sandwiches and cake. Everything was perfect.
We got married here in September, the hotel it’s self is absolutely beautiful and the location is central. We stayed 2 nights. From start to finish our day was perfect, the food was also fantastic. The most important thing to say though is the staff, they couldn’t be more helpful and kind. They were professional but also had a little dance with us at the night time bit which was lovely. All of them are a credit to the hotel, especially sue who helped plan and facilitate our fabulous day. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for a night away or for a wedding. Amazing!!
Visited for a daytime work event. Nice building but looks overdue for a freshen up, especially the loos - clean but showing a lot of wear and tear. The food and drinks provided for our group was basic but that's likely to be down to what was ordered as part of the package. Location good for access.
I had my wedding here and honestly, the Racquet club staff could not have been better. My wedding itself went so smooth, and the buffet got SO MANY compliments. Even my fussy mother in law loved the Scouse. They had an event the night before my wedding, and cleared a room for us to get ready in at 11am. We had the family room at night, the bed was so comfy and warm. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.
We hired this venue for my sister's wedding. And WOW! It was amazing!!! From the very first viewing of the venue, Sue and all the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
There are so many different spaces within the venue to choose where to have each part of a wedding. The set up was just gorgeous, with such a good atmosphere. The hotel only has 8 bedrooms, but they are all stunning.
On the big day, everything ran smoothly, absolutely no hiccups along the way. The staff are soorganised, they have everything covered. The food and the buffet were absolutely delicious. The bar was very reasonably priced considering its in the middle of Liverpool City centre. I really could fault anything.

Fantastic wedding reception held here staff are wonderful nothing too much trouble for them Sue and Lauren took great care of us all. To top it off we all stayed in the magnificent Victorian designed rooms with some really lovely period furniture shame we were only here for the one night.
Breakfast was excellent and good portions served hot and very tasty by a lovely lady (Sorry didn't get her name)
Wonderful historic building with grand entrance and many original features would have loved to have a few drinks at the bar but does not appear to be open to residents.
Service was excellent . My daughters wedding ran like clockwork and everyone was so helpful. The venue has areas that people can use to chat away from the music . The meal was excellent and again the service was very good. All the feedback from the day and night time was excellent the dance floor was very busy from brides first dance till it finished.
Great staff, super friendly, helped me to do some co-working prior to a business networking event/training. Stunning, hidden gem at the heart of Liverpool's historic business district. Love the art on the walls too... thank you

The Racquets Club, Liverpool was the perfect venue for our recently held Silver Wedding Anniversary party, providing an impressive self contained function room that held our 70+ guests comfortably.
From the outset arrangements for the party were made so easy with Sue Clement-Evans (General Manager) attending to all our requirements and offering advice and options that meant all the decisions we had to make were so straight forward.
On the evening of our party everything ran so smoothly due to the efficiency and warm and friendly approach of the staff. The buffet was excellent, well presented and nothing was too much trouble.
Many of our guests have commented to us complimenting on the choice of venue and the excellent food and attentive level of service provided by the staff.
