Have a superb wine tasting afternoon. I would highly recommend this place. They do cooking, cocktail, gin workshops too plus they do a bespoke workshop. Will definitely be visiting this place again.

This is a fabulously warm and friendly deli. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the produce they sell and everything they sell is spectacular. This should be your first stop for fresh tomatoes and other fresh vegetables. It's also a great place for a drink with friends. This is Il Forno in pavement café/deli form. Also incredibly child-friendly.
Did the pasta sauce course. We took our three children ages 9, 11 and 3months! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend!

Authentic Italian deli, great atmosphere and wonderful customer service. Maria is always ready to welcome every one with a smile. I used A Tavola for my meetings or a quick meal. Every Christmas I have my humpers prepared to friends and work colleagues.
There are other restaurants around the premise but A Tavola give a taste of Italy informally and elegant.
The wine sélection are to all tastes from Rocca di Montemassi, Sassicaia, Masseto, Solaia, Barolo, Amarone, Tignanello. If you don't understand, no problem Gigi is always willing to help both for the food and drinks.
Beautiful family run deli, cafe and cookery school. Maria is a wonderful hostess. We had lovely coffees/hot chocolates before taking part in a cookery class and I can not recommend it enough. We all raved over the interaction, the fantastic food and the overall hospitality. We went to Il Forno which is owned by the same family afterwards and were equally impressed.
Amazing hidden gem of a place. Perfect for those who love their Italian food and particularly their wine. We got a fine selection of cheeses and cooled meats as well as garlic ciabatta and calamari. Prices are about what you expect for somewhere in the town centre. The manager, Marie, I believe is exceptional.
Perfect for an aperitivo or even a nice meal. The terrace is heated, or you can sit inside. Staff are always friendly. Makes me feel like I'm back in Europe as lots of Italian, Spanish customers. The aperitivos are always welcome (thanks, Maria!) And the aubergine ravioli is possibly the nicest thing I've ever eaten. Great parmigiana, focaccia and lasagne too. So lucky to have this on our doorstep in Liverpool.

Loved the Italian cooking class. We went for the Ravioli class and enjoyed every minute of it. Drinks included were great too.
We recently called in on a lazy Sunday afternoon for a glass of wine (excellent) before moving on elsewhere. However, we enjoyed the ambience, service and general buzz of A Tavola so much we didn't want to move. We had another drink and then some delicious food. I had the smoked salmon linguini with cream. My only slightly negative comment is that there is just a single WC for everyone. To be fair, it was clean but had a very suspect lock and the door opens out to a tabled area. I wouldn't want to queue if I was in a hurry!
Would I recommend this place? Yes of course.

Delicious starters which were very generous in portion size. All four of us chose a different main course and all were fantastic. A lovely tiramisu to finish!
With truly lovely staff, we cannot rate this highly enough.
Need a cosy place to go after dinner indulging yourself with a nice coffee with a sweet, a cocktail or a glass of wine with nibbles? Well this is the right and only place in Liverpool. Exceptional is not enough!!
Really nice food, very nice staff. Unfortunately some pastas are very small, in my case I had to order an extra one, my friend had to do the same. I still gave you 5 stars, but please make the dishes much bigger
