This restaurant was my first experience of Ethiopian food and it is now one of my top 3 cuisines! I had the vegan platter at-least twice a week😅 (I can’t speak on the meat dishes as I haven’t tried any)
Unfortunately, I no longer live in Liverpool and have tried the same meal at several other restaurants elsewhere, but it just doesn’t compare. I always make sure to stop by whenever I’m in Liverpool. I would definitely recommend!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The venue is an old pub, little has been spent on doing it up but it is clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The zigni and njera were awesome, hot plentiful and very tasty. Zigni we had one with rice and one with njera.
They also deliver.
Well recommend this place.

The best Ethiopian food we’ve had outside Ethiopia. The Injera was delightful with a velvety texture and the Chicken Wat was totally out of this world!
Such a nice experience.
Food is great. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Got to warn that it's an acquired taste. But the staff was amazing to guide us through the menu.
Enjoy
Lived in Liverpool for a bit and I miss being able to go to this absolute gem of a restaurant. Amazing food, unfortunately I've not found anything which even comes close to this local to where I live now. 100000% recommend, the food is amazing
My favourite restaurant in Liverpool, very authentic, cheap and friendly staff.
Vegan friendly but lots of good meat dishes as well.
The food is really delicious and the staff are very friendly. The prices are very reasonable too.
There were five of us and we all had the Yetsom beyaynetu to share. We were served with plenty of injera to go with the six different dishes we had on the platter. There were a few different lentil and split pea dishes and then three veg ones- cabbage, spinach and green beans.
A very relaxed setting, that’s good to visit with friends if you want a delicious meal.
Ive been to Red Sea a few times now and taken my friends and every time we’ve all loved it. We order the vegetarian beyaynetu (in picture) which you eat with your hands and they make it so tasty! Everything is cooked perfectly and the portions are massive. Also the waiter/waitress are so so nice and really deliver great customer service.
It’s my favourite place to eat out in Liverpool - healthy, tasty, fun and affordable ✨
Friendly owner. Made me feel welcome. Place is spacious. Had a lamb stew on bread very tasty!
It was like you've been transported to the region. Very hospitable and tasty genuine cuisine of the region.
The Ethiopian coffee is cultural experience! Great tasting too!
