Great place to spend an afternoon watching the racing. Book a table in advance with a £10 deposit, which you can then use on your bar bill. Decent drinks, good pub grub too. Friendly place.
I would like to say a massive thank you to the manager and staff who were very attentive yesterday when there was an incident that required washing my jacket.....
Food was lovely and cocktails 2 for 1 were great.

Food: The food was delightful. For a pub meal, it was definitely beyond my expectations. I had the chicken club baguette with some chips. Cannot fault it at all. If there was to be any critasism, I'd say the chips needed something. Maybe a little seasoning.

Drinks are served perfectly cold! The steak is good. We really like this place. The staff have been accommodating and friendly. We've been here four times in 10 days for food, drinks, and to watch a couple of football matches. We're going back one last time tomorrow for our Christmas Eve meal...befo
If you like watching football this is the place to come as there are plenty of screens. Service is fast and efficient. Not tried the food recently so can't comment on the food but seems reasonably priced. Beer was slightly more expensive than normal.

The steak and fries looks very dry in the picture I know, we contacted the staff and they replaced the dish right away, they were super helpful and kind. everything else was Great, it has a great pub atmosphere, it's kind of cheap compared to everything around, not the most family friendly place as
An excellent service. The fish and cod (chip shop platter) was phenomenal. And we overpaid, but the waiter noticed this and gave us our money back even though we didn't even notice that we had overpaid. That is really GOOD service!

Came to the Gladstone before heading to some other bars on mathew street as it’s super close.
It was a great pub with a really lively atmosphere. Some members of our group had some small dishes, which looked really good and they said they enjoyed them. I did have a look at the menu and the food look
Been coming in here more often and can’t say I’ve ever had a bad experience, staff are always kind and the manager that works there always comes across friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone to pop in for a pint or two !
Excellent food breakfast stops at 12 but could easily serve all day. As people kept asking.

Good sized city centre pub decent cheap beer and food and open late.Never going to have the best atmosphere but it's OK for breakfast, lunch or tea or just for beers .has a roof terrace that was closed during my visit unfortunately all in all a nice place to eat or drink
