Authentic chinese restaurant available in town.
taste of food is good.
Resto with nice ambience and supportive staff.
Food quality is nice and actually worth it.
Must visit.
went for Saturday lunchtime for dim sum. Really very good food but taking someone who speaks Cantonese would probably help to understand the menu. service is variable as per previous reviews but probably because there are too few waiters during busy times. Finish off by having a little shop in the ground floor supermarket. Would go again.
The restaurant was half full on a Tuesday noon. The staff greeted us at the reception and guided us to a table. Serving staff is kind of in a rush and has limited English communication skill therefore it could affect your dining experience.
Food otherwise are delicious and well flavoured, not too salty or oily. We ordered a wide array of plates and dim sums and we left the restaurant very full.
Exceptional and authentic Chinese food, from dim sum to roast meats. I really enjoy coming back here every time, it’s always consistently good. Service is also quick and efficient.
Great food and great value for money. Lunch for two with plentiful portions and no rushing.
We'll be back
I had heard good things about Tai Pan by other Asian food enthusiasts.
The Dim Sum platter was very good , you can tell that they are all hand crafted and individually had lots of great taste and textures .
I also had S&P pork and pork satay . They were both too salty due to what I presume was MSG ,however the meat was perfectly cooked and very tender .
The service is like clock work , they are all very well trained and their system was great , very quick and effective .
Price was steep in comparison to other restaurants nearby , but can be justified by the great atmosphere and the grand room .
I would return again and perhaps try better things on the menu . I recommend to anyone wanting to try some Chinese/Asian food outside of takeaways or for an occasion.
Always busy and it's a favorite with Chinese families too, so can't be too bad.
It's a big restaurant with plenty of parking. There's a Chinese supermarket underneath the restaurant too.
Lots of choice from English menu and Chinese menu. The staff will help you. We had dim sum with a few extra chinese dishes.
Prices reasonable. Been quite a few times and never been disappointed.
Ive been coming here for family get togethers - birthdays/brunch/celebrations since i was child, we love it
We always order the lobster with noodles and the peking duck
Good and tasty food. All fresh. I will come back.
All customers arrived at 12 o'clock, so long queue, however it moved quickly and we were shown to our table. Our order was taken within 15 mins and the food arrived about 15 mins later. We all had something different and every meal was freshly made and hot, which was amazing considering the amount of customers, every table was taken. It was run so smoothly and everyone had a great time. Would recommend it to everyone 👌
Had an absolutely lovely meal here this afternoon. We got there about 30 minutes after it had opened and it was already full, which to me was a good sign instantly. This restaurant was so clean and upon entering you are greeted with such a beautiful water feature. As you climb the stairs you see the most stunning chandelier you have ever seen. The level of service is amazing from the staff who are all very friendly and attentive. You are not rushed at all. You are taken to your table and seated and asked instantly if you would like any drinks while you look through the menu. Drinks are served quickly and they give you time to look over the menu. Once ordered the food is delivered hot and very tasteful. I had no problems at all with anything from today at all. My only little fault I had is that there are quite a few stairs to climb, I didnt notice or ask if they was any disabled access sorry but I am sure you could phone to enquire if needed. They also have a separate room for larger tables and parties too. Supermarket is also just underneath the restaurant so handy to buy something from there after your meal. Plenty of food to choose from in freezers and they even sell dishes and pans etc there too. Well worth a trip in my opinion. Big car park which is disabled friendly as is the supermarket also.
I remember this being the go to restaurant for family celebrations as kids. Not much has changed. Relaxed and casual, we were not out of place in jeans and hoodies on a Sunday afternoon. I think Friday and Saturday evenings would be a little more dressy.
The food selection is good with plenty of choices for vegetarians. We all enjoyed our meals.
My only point would be that the service seemed a little cold and rushed at times. Otherwise all good.
A massive free carpark and huge supermarket below are also a bonus.
Good food, really authentic Chinese food and I can’t explain it because it is really good definitely worth paying a visit and after that, there is a Chinese supermarket that you can shop right next door where you can buy some dim sum, rice and a lot of things.
