Fantastic meal with a great choice of food ... I had the steak and ale pie and my partner had the tomato/sesame pork and they were delicious ... Matt the server was very helpful and the atmosphere was amazing with great decor and quaint serving barrels .... highly recommend and we will definitely be going back .....

I had booked the private "rum room" to celebrate my partners 40th birthday on Friday 6th April 2018. We had the room all to ourselves but it was also open plan enough to see everything going on plus being close to the live music was perfect.
The service from Jenny our waitress was absolutely brilliant. The food was delicious, no complaints from anybody & those rum cocktails are definitely to be tasted!
It was such good fun in there with a great atmosphere, all 10 of us really enjoyed the evening! Thank you Smugglers Cove xx
Amazing food, atmosphere and lovely staff. Went in last night, had some amazing hanging chicken kebab and rum!! Our waiter Tom couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. If you're visiting Liverpool then don't miss a trip here
I love this place, lovely staff, like the decor,food Is delicious I always go here everytime I'm in Liverpool.Well worth a visit on a trip down to the dock.
Great place good food live music 👍 but noisy if you got kids so do your home fully recommend it
It is the best bar in the Albert dock and has a fantastic friendly atmosphere. We were on a pub crawl on Saturday night and only having one beer in each bar but we love this bar so much that we stayed for a few. They always have live music on and yesterday was 2 fantastic girl singers both playing acoustic guitar who both had lovely harmonies when singing. Will definitely be back to this fantastic bar.

It was our first visit to smugglers and we loved it!! Great menu with so much choice. We thought the food was lovely and really enjoyed it. Not forgetting, the free bottle of prosecco as a birthday treat. Our waitress Reah definitely deserves a huge mention. She was so lovely, brilliant personality and gave fabulous service!!!!!
Had their Salt & Pepper Pork Belly Hanging Kebab that comes with fries. I loved its taste and the side sauce had the right balance of smokiness/sweetness. I had a glass of Chilean Merlot with that. It was good but it was only 5 pieces. I think it needs to be more than that and hence my rating. Or make it cheaper. Their interior is interesting and has a nice vibe.
Nice place, tasty food, locates in the Albert Docks. Amazing music and helpful staff. I recommend to taste Iron Steak sandwich. Great choice for its price.
The place a neat little tuck away in the City Centre and does portray itself as a little smugglers little den!!! Amazingly friendly bar tender also!!! Loved the place!!! Would definitely visit again!!!

I visited Smugglers cove for weekday lunch. Was greeted by attentive staff and had a lovely view of the docks. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, ranging from families to business people to groups of friends just there for the cocktails. I ate steak, which was good but not fantastic, but the sticky toffee pudding was outstanding. Loved that there was so much choice and something for everyone. The atmosphere and location are excellent and the food comes a close 3rd.
Food is reasonable priced and to a high standard. Service is great and friendly. The only problem is you can never get a table so book in advance.
The houmous was a star of this galaxy of deli treats: packed full of flavour, adorned with whole chickpeas and plenty of it.
A dog friendly bar and restaurant (only allowed in the bar area). We had a couple of drinks here and a small bite to eat. The loaf of sourdough with garlic butter was very nice!

Buzzing atmosphere, super friendly staff, very accommodating and good food. My family and I went to celebrate a birthday in the family, staff were very pleasant to interact with and the food was served promptly despite a large group of us. Atmosphere was upbeat with a live band playing right in front of us. People were dancing and singing along too whilst enjoying their meals/drinks. Food was good but portion sizes were rather small when getting a signature hanging kebab so I would recommend getting a starter too if choosing any of the kebabs as your main. Ribeye steak was cooked beautifully and the katsu curry was said to be very tasty also. Cookie dough desert was lovely too. Overall price is moderate to high and be prepared to spend 20+ pounds per person for a full meal however would still recommend as had a wonderful time.
We booked in with a large group of 25 people. And even though the place was busy, the service was fantastic. All our drinks and all 3 course meals came out in perfect time. The staff were incredible. All 25 guests were impressed and the food was unreal, as always. Thank you for giving us a night we won't ever forget.
We enjoyed our visit and were lucky to get in. They were full, but someone had cancelled just before we went in. Service was fast, the staff were pleasant. The food was tasty, but the chicken hanging kebab portion was a lot smaller than it used to be.
Staff were really pleasant and attentive. We were a party of 10 and arrived half an hour early. We went to get a drink at the bar and by the time we were served , our table was ready.
We were sat in a lovely little nook / private bit. It looked lovely. Only issue was the benches which were uncomfortable.
Food was enjoyed by everyone !

I came here on Saturday for a joint birthday celebration and we had an absolutely amazing time! Our waitress Zoe was absolutely brilliant, very friendly and helpful and extremely patient as I’m sure our group of 7 were a little loud and took a while when ordering! She made our day extra special for our birthdays and I cannot thank her enough for a lovely evening. The food was great. This is our second time here and the food was just as good as the next. The hanging kebabs are now a family favourite!

Staff were amazing!! Really dog friendly and so cute with our dog, very nice atmosphere and we intended to only have cocktails but ended up having some late lunch from the bar menu and the food was unbelievably good! I would definitely go back again for a meal from the main menu, all the cocktails were delicious and also the place was immaculate including the toilets. If you’re looking for great service, great food and delicious cocktails then go to Botanist on the Albert dock!
Wow, what a brilliant restaurant, we had great service,food and a wonderful atmosphere, you need to see it for yourself.
We had booked which i advise as people were getting turned away.
When we had our meal we left our table and went towards the back and watched the live music. I definitely recommend a visit if you like a quirky restaurant.

Drinks are a bit pricey but your paying for the luxury of the place and being on the docks.
Starter, main, dessert all spot on! Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and would visit again.
