I once ate at this amazing place! I am Mexican and was not expecting more than a tex-mex burrito with rice and beans (which are nice but not authentic Mexican stuff) and I was totally blown up by the flavor, quality and authenticity of the food! Even tried the best cochinita ever, valentina sauce and more!
Cocktails in the vaults pre-meal were ace! Couldn't fault the service in the restaurant. Had the sharing platter. Really nice. Good variety. The additional range of chilli sauces on the shelves were a great addition. Fully recommend!!
Was in Liverpool on business and wanted decent Mexican food. Was not disappointed. Fantastic atmosphere, lovely staff and the food was amazing. Great selection, I had their chilli and piggy fries. You must try both when you go here!

I went here with friends for an early Friday evening meal. The pork belly tacos were the BEST I've ever had and I've had Mexican food in Paris, Amsterdam, London and other places. The halloumi taco was to die for as well. Overall, I'm going to be dragging any of my friends here that want to eat.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great food and cocktails - we had the sharing platter, very good value for money. Told 40 minutes wait for a table but we were directed to the downstairs bar and it only turned out to be about 15/20 minutes. Definitely return!

Had a lovely lunch at Lucha libre with my friends yesterday, our waitress with the blonde hair and glasses (didn't catch her name) was very attentive and helpful, going through the menu with me suggesting what can be made vegan. Great food, arrived quickly and was a lovely chill atmosphere.
Can't fault this place at all. Lovely staff, fast service, quirky/awesome decor and amazing food!

Perfect Mexican food in the place. Really liked the ambuence. We ordered around 8 cocktails and plenty of food. I must say all was good. Disappointed with quatelas though
Great food, awesome atmosphere. My boyfriend and I ordered a taco sharing platter, which came with two sides, and we were still full come dinner! The best hands down is the pulled pork taco, but all the others were really nice too. Beer is a bit on the pricier side, but considering the price of the food, it wasn't bad at all

One day whilst browsing on the Lucha Libre website we noticed that the menu was larger than we remembered and were tempted to return since the last time we visited not long after it opened last year. We ordered a couple of tacos, a quesadilla and a mixed grill with the intention to add more if our appetites allowed. This was probably due to it being a lunchtime visit and also due to the fact that we over ordered at Luck, Lust, Liquor and Burn a couple months back to the point where a table in the eye line of Mrs Nom were sniggering at us (post to follow shortly). The first dish to arrive was the mixed grill which consisted of ribs, chorizo burger and chicken wings. The portion was quite generous given that it was classed as a small plate. We ordered two sets of tacos, pork pil bil along with prawn & mango. The pork servings laying on the tacos were again generous with it proving difficult to wrap the taco and to avoid the juice oozing out when devouring it, not that we were compl
We were rather stuffed but somehow made room for ‘pud’ in the shape of a triumphant Lucha Sundae – which brought together tastings from their dessert menu: Mexican Cajeta Jelly, Churros, Key Lime & Hibiscus Cheesecake, Cajeta Crepes and Chocolate & Chilli Brownie.
Was first time here, came with my mate on his birthday! I actually really liked the food, not a biggest fan of the Mexican food but it was really delicious! Our server was helpful and nice, so thank you! By the way be careful with a sauces, really spicy 🌶 ☺️
Very trendy place, fast service, great atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty authentic foodporn. I think that's all I can say. 5* definitely going back!
Had a lovely and unexpected surprise eating here. It's delicious! Certainly not street food mexican.so the look says casual. The feel is casual. The food is quite a few notches above. Think, best of both worlds. The prices are not cheap. But the are in line with finer dining.
I had tacos al pastor. Delicioso. The pork was tender and just so moist. The 3, almost dainty sized, tacos made for a good starter.
That was followed by rather decadent bowl of chips and cheese. Sweet potato and regular spuds served with a layer of succulent pulled pork topped with a fantastic cheese which stayed melted for quite some time. This was not from a local chippie.
Lovely meal ended with a Sunday. So a sweet note that made the rest of my walk home easier.
Being a yank in the UK I find myself craving quality Mexican food from time to time. After a bit of internetting I decided to give this place a go for my taco fix. The taco menu has a variery of choices to suit different diets and tastes. The tacos we tried were tasty but less authentic mexican and more bougy mexican tapa style. I wasn't disappointed in the food by any means but it wasn't quite what I wanted to satisfy a craving for tacos. The maragaritas on the other hand were everything I wanted them to be.
Great food, great atmosphere and cheery staff. Ideal places for a couple or group meal. I'd recommend the Taco Tray for a big variety!
