Fab concept and beautifully delivered. Came in for pre-Grand National breakfast that didn’t disappoint and as the staff were very attentive, I have given you a well deserved 5✨ Will definitely be back to try dinner and more cocktails.

Had a great time on the cocktail making masterclass for my friend's hen do this weekend! Darren was really good and we had such a laugh with him - he knew his stuff and was really patient with us! We had some food and it was lovely too. Good value for money as we all got plenty of cocktails to drink within the class. Really recommend it! :)

Cocktails, starters and service were excellent, mains were ok. Great place though with a lovely team. Our waiter Jason was great and gave us some good recommendations of places to visit whilst we are in Liverpool. Would not hesitate to visit again!

I absolutely love the alchemist, the atmosphere and experience is amazing! The drinks are such fun and the food is delicious definitely worth a visit when nearby. I also want to thank our waitress Lucy, for being super kind and giving us recommendations when we didn’t know what to have.

Always a treat! Food was great! Felt some sort of nostalgia too! I also had a fantastic experience with the bartenders and staff, where the waitstaff showed excellent cooperation. I requested them to keep the bill a secret from my table, as I wanted to treat my friends without them knowing. The waitresses handled it discreetly and efficiently, making my guests' experience even more enjoyable. This level of service really added to our overall dining experience.

Great place to have drinks or maybe a brunch with friends, The Alchemist is situated in Liverpool city centre, a very large public house, plenty of room, but for large groups, i would definitely book as you can imagine it gets very busy in there Prices are not for the faint-hearted, but they have a great range of cocktails definitely worth going even if its just for one Service was swift, but it was early afternoon, so bear that in mind would definitely go again. Well done, guys. I'm very impressed for my first visit

Visited here due to seeing various posts about it on social media showing the unusual cocktails available. We came midweek and it was quite busy which is a good sign to me. Welcomed by a very friendly member of the team and were told to sit anywhere in the bar area if we were just there for drinks. If you are only going for drinks, there is no table service and you have to go to the bar yourself, but at the end of the day, that’s how pubs have operated for years without issues. We sat ourselves at the bar and after looking over the drinks menu we ordered our first two cocktails which were made right in front of us. It is known for its theatre here and all cocktails are made and presented with a bit of glitz and glamour. It may be gimmicky to some, but that is one of the main draws of coming here and to be honest, we enjoyed it! Okay, the prices may seem high, but are not that much more than other similar venues to be fair. Individual cocktails start at £10 and go up to about £15 and there are sharing options which are priced accordingly. They also serve mocktails, soft drinks, coffees as well as bottled and draft beers, so all bases covered. The bar staff that served us were both very pleasant, polite and professional. The second server whose name I wish I had taken was very good though to be fair, a true credit to the place. He noticed that we were struggling to pick our second cocktail and he asked what kind of stuff we liked and which ones we were considering. He gave us his professional advice and which he thought would suit us best and that guided our decision and he was spot on, our second cocktails were perfect for us so his help was very much appreciated. After reading some other reviews, we nearly didn’t come here, but after deciding to give it a go, I’m so glad we did and we will 100% be back for more gorgeous cocktails. Highly recommend indeed!

Amazing cocktails, we have not had any food however looked at the menu and it looked delicious. The cocktails are amazing and acceptable prices considering the amount of work that goes into creating them.

Good vibe and atmosphere, prices are as you expect (around £10-15 for cocktails which given the location and the gimmick isn't bad really). Drinks were nice albeit very sweet, food was also nice, would definitely return!

I absolutely loved being here from the atmosphere to the food everything was perfect. I especially loved the range of non-alcoholic drinks. For the first time I felt I was able to be involved in the experience of discovering new drinks, flavours and experiences which I haven’t found anywhere else. This made me feel included and can I just say WOW your drinks are amazing not only in taste but the whole fun, theatrical presentation was unbelievable I couldn’t stop smiling. I also looked at the alcoholic drinks menu and OMG I could practically taste them from the description making me wish I wasn’t driving that day! The alcoholic drinks that arrived at our table were a wonder to see so imaginative and interactive. Then there’s the food- as a foodie I was in heaven. Everything came out within 15mins of being ordered, it was fresh, hot and beautifully flavoured. You could taste the individual flavourings of each item you ate, which can I just say is a rarity in any food establishment, especially if the items are on the same plate so the the chef I’d like to say your talents were noted and very much appreciated, eating your food was a pleasure that I look forward to doing again. Then we come to the service from the minute you enter the establishment you are greeted by warmth and friendliness but with enough space and respect whilst at your table to not feel like they just want you to leave straight after eating. The server is on hand and very attentive when you want them but also very respectful in giving you the space you want to genuinely immerse yourself in the dining experience that they provide. I would especially like to thank Kerri who made our night with a surprise dessert for the birthday on the table and for ensuring that the experience was immersive for all the group , especially when it came to the theatrics of the drinks.

We popped in for drinks only. There was a great atmosphere and no wait at the bar to be served. The drinks we had were lovely and I'd definitely recommend coming here if you like decent cocktails.

Wow what an experience, what an awesome place!! From entry to leaving it was seriously a memorable occasion that we can’t wait to do again! The staff are so very warm and welcoming, the food was delicious & the cocktails were out of this world. Add to all that, the theatre, the ethical background and you feel so much better about having such a fantastic evening. Make sure you have plenty of room, from the starters to desert everything was cooked to perfection and so very tasty. The charcoal battered cod & chips looked strange due to the black exterior but tasted phenomenal. The French Steak Sandwich was gorgeous and I would definitely have that again. Kate, our server was so very lovely, funny, warm and patient we really couldn’t have asked for more from her! Can’t recommend this place enough for a memorable night/evening with friends or loved ones

Definitely recommend booking ahead. It's a lot of fun to have the cool drinks. Expensive though and extremely loud?

Food and cocktails were absolutely fabulous. We eat out maybe 3-4 times a month and this is by far my favourite Liverpool restaurant. Child friendly and the kids love it too, especially making potions with their mocktails

Over all the alchemist was a pleasant experience as usual, I did find my steak a little closer to blue than rare but I still savoured it, my friends enjoyed their different meals and sides which came with excellent presentation. All the staff working were very helpful and nice. The drinks as per usual were incredibly photogenic and it is definitely a place I would go back to.

Came as part of my daughters birthday celebrations. Had a nice meal and some lovely cocktails. My daughter also received a free birthday cocktail. And my younger daughter enjoyed her mocktails. Food came out nice and hot although I was slightly disappointed with my Korean chicken burger as there wasn't enough sauce and mainly tasted of just bun. The rest was yummy especially the dough balls and onion rings. Staff was all very helpful friendly and attentive especially kerry who was lovely. Thank you for a great visit
