Lovely little coffee shop very friendly and great cakes and coffee. Very welcoming from the moment you walk in the door great selection of food and drinks.
What a hidden gem! 💎 The lady who served us (presumably the owner) was friendly and very accommodating. The hot chocolates were delicious and warmed us up before we continued our Liverpool day out. Would certainly recommend and visit again if we are in the area in the future.
A lovely and cozy place for a soup of the day and a Sandwich or a wrap. Super fast service, small selections of dishes and friendly staff that made recomendations. Also quite cheap! Less than 10 £ for soup and wrap
We found this gem of a cafe when we arrived in Liverpool looking for a place for lunch. The lady who runs the cafe is so friendly and welcoming and made an huge fuss of our two boys. There is a wide range of delicious drinks, cakes and hot food to choose from. If you’re looking for a quick eat or a nice lunch and a coffee this is your place. highly recommend the tuna cheese toastie!
This place is so lovely. The staff there are so nice and make sure you have everything you need. The food was absolutely amazing and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I would definitely come again and I would recommend this place to others, as I loved my experience here.
Just been here today for my friends baby shower. What a fabulous coffee shop. We had afternoon tea which had a vast array of items along with toasties. The staff here are absolutely fantastic. So friendly. Lovely vibe. Will definitely be going back. Thank you ladies xx
A wonderful hidden gem in Liverpool! A very cute cafe with very reasonable prices. The coffee is great and the cakes are to die for - my favourite is the Norwegian almond cake ❤️ The staff are lovely and friendly too :)
Lovely little cafe tucked away! The sandwiches and coffee were so lovely. The lady behind the counter gave the most attentive customer service, so chatty and friendly! I also got a blueberry and orange cake to takeaway which was lovely!
For a family who have never been to Liverpool I can not imagine a better way to be welcomed.
The food was lovely and very fairly priced, the Coffee was far far better than you get from any of your standard coffee shop chains.
But above all it was the care and attention to service that was what really made this place an absolute must for anyone wanting some lunch or a coffee in Liverpool.
All the little touches, making the hot chocolates a little cooler than usual due to them being for young children, providing a plate of crisps for the children while they waited for their lunch, not just saying dogs are welcome but opening the back room so we had enough room to drink and eat comfortably without taking over the place.
If all that already wasn't enough to guarantee next time we come to Liverpool we will come back, then the incredible welcome we got from Cheryl who couldn't do enough to make us welcome, happy and comfortable is the clincher. She was an absolute credit to A Small Fish in a Big Pond. And as first time visitors to Liverpool she was an absolute credit to the city.
I have visited countless Cafes over the years but never felt a review was necessary. Today I felt obligated, I would've felt incredibly guilty to have been on the end of such fantastic service and a lovely lunch break and not to have made sure the appreciation was known.
Please, anyone in Liverpool after a bite to eat or even just a drink. Don't look any further!
This is a very nice, cozy café with lovely staff, tasty coffee, gorgeous treats and yummy soups. If you want to support independent companies, this is a great place to go. The coffee is roasted locally, the bakery that provides the cakes is an independent, they support local artists and sell beautiful cards... only positive things to say about small fish. Oh, and the turmeric latte with almond milk, to die for.
