Kickass food!

Chilli Banana never seems to disappoint. Their curries are tasty and service is always very good. We’ve been several times and highly recommend the Penang curry and Masaman curry. Delicious, authentic Thai food.

This is my first review in UK.
The restaurant was recommended by my wife. My look out of the place may differ a lot coz I will be comparing it to restaurants in India.

There is no doubt that for hygiene and ambience I would give a 5. The staff was very friendly but one of the lady didn't know much about the dishes.

We had a mocktail Thai Sunset followed by the Non Veg and Veg Mixed Starter Selection. I felt the quantity was too little for a person. We then had to order an additional Veg Spring Rolls.
Our main course had Sticky Rice, Drunken Vegetarian Noodles (recommended), along with Chicken Spicy stir fry with Holy Basil aka PAD KRAPOW this is suppose to be very spicy, but to my Indian taste it was no close to spicy or hot if u liked it.

Its expensive as per my evaluation but its worth the taste for once in a while..

This place has some amazing food. Went with friends. Had their lunch special including their spring rolls, fish cakes and main dish "drunken noodles". Very delicious, good portions. Yummy

Lives up to reputation. You always hear good things about this place and for good reason the food and ambiance are great. It is a little dear compared to other Thai places but it is the best around.

Fabulous food (especially the chicken satay starter and the perfectly cooked scallops), inventive desserts and staff who are friendly but not in your face. We'll definitely be going back.

By far the best Thai food I've had in the UK! Nice atmosphere and staff are really lovely. Great place to take the parents! Also, the sweet sticky noodles are amazing.

Had supper here tonight. A party of 5. Great atmosphere. A very welcoming and smart restaurant. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. The steamed sea bass with ginger is particularly delicious. We will be back.

Real Thai cuisine right here!!! Heard great reviews and been highly recommended so booked a table for my partners birthday and our mouths water for the taste again... the Panang Duck is the most amazing duck you will have ever tasted! And those flamed greens are delicious! The team at Chilli Banana were excellent and gave us an intimate dinner date, all smiles and was on the ball throughout our memorable experience. Myself and my partner appreciate great food and cocktails that we stayed here till closing...overall 3 hours, the cocktails were freshly made with an exciting real kick. Overall this was a 10/10 experience and we're returning from Notts soon for another fab evening (Valentines and my birthday next) big Thank you to all the team.... will be returning as friends from Nikki and Paul.

Having originally given Chilli Banana a 4* rating after my first visit (due to the price rather then the food), having now been four times I am upgrading my rating to 5*. Every meal I have had there has been between very good and outstanding, and the prices are not really any higher than other establishments in the area. One of my favourite restaurants in the Liverpool area.

One of the few restaurants on Lark Lane to have stood the test of time, Chilli Banana is an excellent Thai restaurant serving a large selection of delicious food. I can't comments on how authentic is it, but I've always enjoyed what I've eaten there, and the restaurant's enduring popularity - it's always busy in there - is a testament to the quality of the food and service.

Very good Thai restaurant with fair prices located in Lark Lane, a street full of restaurants. The lunch menu served until 4 pm is a cheaper option. In this menu, you can choose between one or two small dishes and a main course (not the entire menu, but just some selected dishes).

Great place but we paid a bit much for a modest amount of food. Great flavours and done to perfection, mind. Service was great too!

Popped in and enjoyed the express lunch deal. Very reasonable smaller portions of selected regular menu dishes. Would recommend

Ah, Chilli Banana! Lark Lane staple and an absolute must when in Liverpool. The name is a bit weird, yes, but don't let that fool you... Chilli Banana does absolutely gorgeous, authentic tasting, Thai food. The staff are always friendly and very helpful, absolutely no problems there. The food: well, I've been here so many times now (both to dine in and to take away) that I won't go through each and every dish. Let me just say: not one has ever let me down. From the Pad Thai and the Massaman Curry to the Laad Naa and the Pad Kimow, everything lives up to and then exceeds expectations. The place is always busy but never too busy as to be off-putting and there is a always a nice atmosphere in here. Try the Chilli Banana dessert - it's what the place is named for, after all! Very unique. When it comes to drinks there is, of course, Thai beer to go with the food which is great as I'm sure you're aware. There is a delicious green tea on offer here also which I'm a big fan of at the end of the meal. I've heard one or two people say that the food in this restaurant is a little too sweet. That is the nature of a lot of Thai dishes, however. Palm sugar is a major ingredient in a lot of food in Thailand and Chilli Banana makes every effort to be as spot-on as possible. Overall, this is an absolutely stunning Thai restaurant. The food is gorgeous and extremely authentic. I can't recommend this place enough, it's an essential in Liverpool.
