Another great place, food really nice atmosphere relaxed. A good place to take the whole family.
Beautiful, authentic restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and decor. The food was amazing and served well too. Lovely staff and service. Prices were reasonable and quality and taste of food excellent. Would recommend and return. Dessert trolley was jaw dropping - just a shame my pasta filled me and I couldn’t indulge further! A great place to dine.
Thank you Villa Romana to gave us a great dinner and memory in Liverpool. It was our first time to visit this restaurant because of those positive reviews. Food was amazing, pizza, spaghetti and desserts. The dessert trolley was attracted us once we entered the restaurant! I would definitely recommend to my friends or visit it again!
It's a gem, delivering authentic Italian flavors through standout pasta dishes, fresh seafood, and expertly grilled options. The warm ambiance and attentive staff make it a top choice for a delightful dining experience in the heart of the city. We enjoyed the seafood spaghetti, lamb chops, and lasagna, all of which were absolutely amazing. However, the milk cake for dessert fell short of expectations.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Liverpool. A very authentic, cosy Italian vibe with friendly staff and a great choice of brilliant food and drinks. There is also a dessert trolley that has an amazing choice of cakes etc.
Found villa romana after searching for Italian restaurants for our stay in Liverpool. Restaurant was busy but we had booked beforehand. Service was great, food arrived very quickly after we ordered, delicious! We were so impressed with the dessert trolley, have never been somewhere with a dessert trolley before. My dad had the amaretto cake, he said it was amazing.
Wife and I booked this for a Friday evening, wanted something close to our hotel Nova Hotel which is about 500 yards away. So glad we did, stunning food, service, atmosphere and value. The ribs for starters are to die for, my wife had the meatballs, I had the sea bass, wife had the chicken, brocoli pasta, lemon meringue pie and I had pecan, caramel gateau, we had a bottle of house wine, 2 peronis came to under £95. No complaints absolutely stunning. Thank you.
Great food! We had the Calamari for starter, and the Tournedos Rossini and the Tagliatelle Con Funghi for mains and then desserts and we genuinely can’t complain about anything at all it was so good! Service was fast and it was a very nice comfortable meal!
Beautiful decor, and lovely food. I was a bit disappointed with my main but not because of the cooking I just didn’t really like the sauce on my chicken it’s an acquired taste. I had the breaded chicken with Parma ham and mozzarella. My partner loved his which was the chicken and red wine and my 5 year old son demolished his creamy ham pasta. The starters was beautiful my partner and I shared the homemade soup which was minestrone and bruschetta 10/10. Will definitely return. Love the dessert trolley in there my son had a strawberry tart quite pricey though but well worth it.
Brilliant food! I definitely would recommend visiting this place if you love Italian food. Great service & friendly staff. They even brought the trolly of desserts over to the table!
A really nice experience. Very good food, great service and a nice atmosphere in a very busy restaurant
really good atmosphere, the service is nice. Strongly recommend lamb rib, very delicious.
i absolutely loved it !! the best restaurant i’ve ever been too, the food was delicious and filling. the atmosphere is giving italy vibes and such a nice and beautiful aesthetic and the staff were amazing !!❤️
We stopped by at this amazing Italian restaurant on a weeknight, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was busy, but we got a table and were sitted immediately. Drinks, starters, and our mains all arrived onetime
Food was cooked to perfection. It was fresh, good-sized portions, and very tasty. The dessert trolley is an amazing idea, you get to see the dessert portions straight away and order as many as you like. Dessert was also lovely.
We all had an amazing evening and would definitely go back, if in Liverpool City Centre for dinner.

Had a great experience and some amazing tasting food! The waiters were super kind and the vibe was amazing!
You don't have to wait long after ordering food... And make sure to check out the dessert trolley.... It looks divine! 😋
My penne with salmon was a bit too salty, but that doesn't spoil anything at all! Had a great time, thank you 😊
The food here was nice. However it is very noisy, and we were seated upstairs next to the stairs and squashed up against a wall. Almost like it was a walkway where a table had been squeezed in. It wasn't really a great place to sit and eat, I was sat facing my partner who had the wall directly behind him and a wall to my left, the stairs just next to our table where the waiters were coming up and down to serve other people.
The service was good.
I wouldn't go here again, as the upstairs tables weren't very desirable, and the downstairs were too noisy to tall to each other properly.
Probably the best Italian food I've ever eaten, I liked the way the meals were presented. The decor was also pretty impressive, some might say it's a bit too much but personally I like it. This is where the positives end, it was really warm in there without any ventilation. Staff seemed overworked, sweating and not engaged with customers. The tables were really close together unfortunately, it was not pleasant overhearing others conversations and trying to talk over others to be able to communicate with my partner.
All in all I think it's great value for money, fantastic food, quick but not particularly great service and probably more bearable climate in the winter. I will probably visit again if I'm in Liverpool.
Visited Saturday 4 May which was the most recent of the many times I've dined out here. Had a fabulous 3 course meal and a bottle of wine, served by friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant, although busy, has a lovely ambience. We where sat upstairs on the balcony this time, which was lovely. I have and will continue to recommend Villa Romana as a place to dine out.
Stumbled across this little gem whilst in Liverpool. Gorgeous place-authetic Italy in the middle of the city centre.
Food was amazing, staff great. Actual restaurant building so lovely. Will definitely go here again.
This is always my fave place for dinner when in Liverpool.
Walk past and look through the windows; always packed to rafters because their reputation is so good.
All the food was great but you must save room for the dessert trolley. Top stuff!
