A charming pub in Liverpool! We stumbled across this pub exploring the city and were so glad we did. The service was great (granted we were the only ones in there in an off time on a weekday). The food was delicious - steak and cheese sandwich, shrimp, and fries. The space itself is beautiful with the unique furniture and all the plants!

I've been coming here for many years and it's a really nice little pub. As you go through the front door to the right is the dining area and the left side is purely for those who are just having a pint. Bar staff are always knowledgeable and helpful in picking the best real ales and beers. We tend to come here during the day when it's not too busy. It does get packed at the weekends. Haven't eaten here for a few years so will have to return to do an update on the food.

The Sunday roast here are out of this world. I had the lamb and it was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes are very generous. Fantastic staff very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend a visit here. Simply good food, good people and good atmosphere

The best Sunday roast in Liverpool. Nothing to add. I've been to The Blackburne many times and I've always been satisfied. I never used it as a hotel as I live in Liverpool but only went to the pub. If I can make a suggestion: they should get better knives to cut meat.

Great little pub in the Georgian quarter. Dropped into a try a pint as never visited before. Obviously very popular as was quite busy. It was spacious and we got a seat easily enough. Had a pint of 'Silver King', decently poured and fresh. Will be needing a return visit for some food, as what I saw looked fantastic, really need to get one of their steaks a go (Thursday I think looked like there was a special offer for steak, so putting that on my list!)

Went here as a large group. Staff did well to get the meals out at the same time as it was very busy. The cauliflower bites were the highlight for me, recommend them! Rest of the food was OK. Was a squeeze, as not enough space at the table and crammed close together. Staff were great though!

Great place to stay at a really reasonable rate. The windows are old and thin, so the outside noise can be heard. I'd recommend taking earplugs along.

We quite often visit here on a Thursday when the do a 'steak night' which I must say is fantastic value; Steak chips and a pint (or 1/2 bottle of wine) for £17.50! Not only is it great value it's also fantastic food. The beers are well kept and the staff welcoming and friendly. Keep up the excellent work!

Visited as a family of 4 for a Sunday lunch. The food was fantastic. The main roast had a good amount of meat and it was nice to have more of a medley of veg as apposed to the usual meat and 2 veg you usually get at other places. Then the dessert. The sticky toffee pudding is absolutely amazing. Shout out to all the staff, they were very attentive and knowledgeable. We would happily return

Went here on A Friday afternoon. The barmaid was very welcoming and brought us menus and took drinks order. She brought drinks to our table, took our order and brought food. I had a very nice prawn linguine, others had fish and chips and sandwiches. All the food was excellent! They also do Timothy Taylor Landlord my favourite pint! Didn't get the barmaid's name but she was an absolute star, running bar and waiting on tables singlehandedly. Will definitely go back soon!

Didn't stay here but had a meal and it was great, service was great and staff where very helpful, but wasn't happy with almost sitting in the doorway, did ask to be moved but other tables were booked, but to be fair they did come and ask if we wanted to move over into another area which by this time was to late

I recently dined at Blackburn Arms and overall, it was a delightful experience. The food was truly great, filled with flavors that delighted the palate. However, there was one small drawback - we were seated by the door, which made the area a little chilly. Despite that, the nostalgic pub atmosphere added a touch of charm to the entire experience. Now, let's talk about the food. It was simply outstanding. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and each dish was prepared with great care. The roast dinner, in particular, left a lasting impression. The tender meat and perfectly roasted vegetables were a true treat for the taste buds. It reminded me of a traditional homemade Sunday roast, which added a sense of nostalgia to the dining experience. The only downside was the seating arrangement. Being seated by the door resulted in a slightly colder atmosphere, which can be a bit uncomfortable, especially during colder months. However, the warm and friendly service made up for it to some extent. The staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring that we had a pleasant dining experience despite the chilly seating area. In conclusion, Blackburn Arms is a great place for delicious food and a nostalgic pub experience. If you're looking for a fantastic roast dinner, this is definitely a place to try. While the seating by the door may make it a bit colder, the overall quality of the food, friendly service, and nostalgic atmosphere make it a memorable dining experience.
