Just had the loveliest birthday lunch here!
We sat out next the river on a comfy table with blankets available if needed. The staff were fabulous and made us feel relaxed & always on hand if we needed anything. Staff were all upbeat and smiling nothing was to much for them!
Food was wonderful my friend has a gluten intolerance and the waitress brought her out some gluten free toasted bread to have with our crab without us even asking. The kitchen altered our main so we could both enjoy a Cesar salad. We were comfortably full unfortunately no room for desserts but they looked incredible and we will be returning to try!

A really lovely pub. We went in unfortunately terrible weather and because of a late extra booking had to sit outside, but the patio heaters and feature fire were good at keeping the cold mostly at bay and the blankets a nice touch too. Staff were attentive and polite, food was decent and didn’t break the bank.
The most dog friendly pub we've ever been to. So friendly, there were dog biscuits waiting on the table ready 😍
The service and setting here is second to none.
The food is also incredibly tasty, generous portions (something that's getting increasingly harder to find), and seasonal 🙌

Hoisin duck tacos - £7.50
Beer battered haddock - £11.50 (small portion, which wasn't small at all!)
Sweet potato and chickpea massaman curry - £14.50 (large portion)
Chicken, leek & smoked bacon pie - £17.50

Beautiful rooms, well decorated and very clean! The staff and service was excellent. Location was lovely but we couldn’t find any good walking routes directly from the pub which we were hoping for but that’s not their fault. Really recommend and great value for money!

This place is absolutely gorgeous. I loved everything about it, from the decor to the food and the waiting staff. I am coeliac, dairy free and veggie so eating out can be a real nightmare but not at The Litton! They were super helpful and knowledgeable and I was even able to eat dessert, which is a rare treat as I also don't eat chocolate so the usual gf brownies don't work for me. The pie I had was delicious and I could also have the gravy. I got to have 2 scoops of the most delicious sorbet (raspberry and mango) and the extras it came with (shortbread crumbs) were also gluten free, which made a nice change. I felt so safe eating there and that really means a lot because if I get glutened it is really rather unpleasant and takes a good few days to a week to recover from so being able to relax like that when eating out was a real gift.
The Litton have a map of a little walk around the reservoir so we took a stroll and that was totally gorgeous too. The written instructions seem a little out of date so I would advise just looking at the map but it was breathtakingly gorgeous and had some fun stuff on the way like a little pool to paddle in and a double swing.
Highly recommended - a perfect day out!
Called in for lunch, met by staff Kat and Vicky, both very pleasant and efficient. Food and drink, excellent....good size portions, gammon really nice and chicken and leek pie rammed full of filling....shame we were too full for pudding..would highly recommend.
We stayed in The Sherbourne, which was a generous size with dual aspect but the sound of the extract fans were quite noisy. Fortunately we were given ear plugs.
The staff however, were exemplary!
A young crew of enthusiastic, genuine and helpful people. They were well trained, eager and all seemed to enjoy their work. Most impressive!
Can’t comment on the rooms but The Litton is an amazing little found that we often stop in on the way back from the airport. Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere, all set in what might be a late medieval ale house! Great find!
We called in for a drink while visiting friends. A really nice pub with great seating areas - it was a nice day so we were able to sit outside.
Lovely location, nice and quiet, nice country walks.
Rooms are a bit on the pricey side compared to others in the area, but location is great and the restaurant is very good, staff are also very friendly and helpful.
Had a lovely afternoon sat outside enjoying the sunshine. We stayed here previously and loved it, & our return visit for an early dinner didn't disappoint. The food & service were fantastic, we will definitely be returning.
My son took me here for my birthday and we had a lovely Sunday lunch. Good food and a lovely setting, definitely recommend it.

If you're looking for a place to eat and stay - The Litton is hands down my top recommendation for the Somerset area. My partner, god parents and I stayed here over the Easter long weekend and it was an unforgettable experience. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and had that luxury boutique style to them which made the experience feel really special.
Now, let's talk about the food - the pub dishes were modern and absolutely delicious. We ended up dining at The Litton for every dinner during our stay because nearby pubs and restaurants just couldn't compete. Every dish was wonderful and really exceeded our expectations - a big shout out to the kitchen who pumped out such wonderful food at such a high standard day in and day out. Also, the included breakfasts were very generous and delicious - everything you could want and more!
I have to give a special shout-out to Holly, who made our stay at The Litton feel like we were part of the family. She was always so welcoming and helpful, and went above and beyond to assist us with our dinner reservation and adhoc requests.
All in all, The Litton exceeded our expectations in every way, and I can confidently say that I would go back and stay at this wonderful B&B in a heartbeat.
1st visit here today for lunch and it will definitely not be the last.
