We visited yesterday as a party of six (four adults and two children) and enjoyed a delicious, relaxed lunch in great surroundings. On arrival the greeting was warm and friendly and the service overall was excellent, it was our first visit but we will definitely come again

Fantastic pub, good old building, nice location. Beer garden out front, fires inside in the winter. The staff are very personable and warm. I've eaten here several times and its been consistently good Ignore old reviews, this place has changed hands and been refurbished, my wife and i first came here shortly after that in late 2022. Theres a walk down to the seven estuary i have been meaning to do which starts more or less at the pub, so you can really make a Sunday of it

The food was to usually high standard but due to being a bit quite the atmosphere was a bit lacking. The staff were very jolly. Only real disappointment was the fish and chips had sold out. Not surprising, we seen a couple of diners eating it as we arrived and looked amazing.

Fantastic food, beer and service. Menu based on fresh ingredients and inventive cooking. Significantly better than standard pub food, decent prices and wonderful building and garden. Proper traditional pub setting!

We stopped off here for Sunday lunch after a nice walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we hadn't booked. The pub is a little maze inside, very nicely done out. Food was all delicious, beautiful home made soup for starter and perfectly cooked roast beef, beautiful yorkshires and lovely veg. Nice portions too with lots of meat. Would definitely recommend

Had a Sunday lunch. I had beef, one of the had gammon and two vegetarians..All enjoyed the food and serves which of the most part was great just a little slow at the end for taking payment which we had to walk up to the bar. All in all a great pub and nice food. Would happily return

We took a lovely walk across the fields, sticking to the public foot paths and planed this pub at about the halfway point. We had a shared ploughman's and some wine. The service was good the staff helpful and the weather perfect. We finished are wine sat in the garden, that over looks the river. Then coffee before a very enjoyable walk back home. All in all a perfectly enjoyable day

Excellent location, lovely pub. Worked well to meet up with old friends - mid way between Taunton and Malvern! Food was good, but way more than we prefer to eat. We would have liked the option of smaller portions.
