I was lucky enough to have my wedding reception in the pub, the staff excellent in every way and presented well, the food prepared for our buffet was top class and exactly what we wanted for our guests, the weather was perfect so we could make use of the garden which was excellent, the kids loved the play area and didn't seem to leave it all day, the space inside and out was perfect for everyone who attended with plenty of seating, the personal touches provided by Richard and Lorraine were excellent and made our day even more special. I know that my wedding was the first wedding held by Richard at the Loci and I couldn't have asked for more and my expectations were surpassed. We will be paying them a visit every time we visit our family in the area (we live in Durham) To Richard, Lorraine and all the staff, you were perfect and we cannot thank you enough for your hard work on our special day. Love, Mr and Mrs Stoner. P.s Richard, you should stay well away from karaoke in the future.

WOULD RECOMMEND - WILL BE RETURNING My family and I took ourselves to The Locomotive for dinner and drinks. Service and atmosphere is good. Friendly stag with a great sense of humour. When the food arrived, all was well, but my fish was slightly undercooked. Informed the staff, and the landlord/chef reimbursed me for my meal. I declined at first, yet this shows the moral compus this establishment have, admitting they made a minor error but resolved with a solution. They clearly apperciated their customers whether you're local or not local. For this act of kindness and generosity, my family and I WILL BE RETURNING. Thank you, Richard and the Locomotive team. Keep up the great work. Tony.

The fish and chips may have looked like supermarket bought but was perfectly cooked better than at home. Reasonable choice of beers

We had a great night! We only went in for a couple of drinks and ended up having food and enjoying the Karaoke until late in the night!

Small pub in Wick. It doesn't look much from the outside but it is nice inside. It has a dartboard and snooker table. The centre of the pub is split into two by an arch with the larger section the main bar and the other for food. The people that run and work here are really welcoming and friendly. They have a jukebox that is free to use. In addition they have karaoke on a Friday and singers/ bands on a Saturday. It has a nice friendly, laid back vibe. We were made to feel welcome. Having moved not far from the pub we will be using it again. Had a lovely evening.

Not a bad boozer. Selection of beers could be better but this is obviously a personal preference everyone is different. Good to see they have Sky sports packages on the tele, so would recommend this place of you fancy a few beers watching some footie 👌🏻

Popped in whilst staying at caravan site a short walk away. It was a bit dark and gloomy but the food and drinks were good.

Friendly staff. Very much a "blokes" bar, so a bit noisy. However, our family enjoyed our drinks and the juke box music.

Nice place where I sat outside watching the level crossing (I'm a railway nerd), having a beer, and relaxing. The hostess brought my beer out to me and payment was using a portable machine. She came out later to see if I wanted another which was lovely as i had my books etc spread out and didn't really want to go in to order. Hostess was friendly and chatty. Only slight down was there was only 1 ale available, but it was lovely. So i was quite happy.

If you would like to support Jamie's wish charity. Pop along to the locomotive and enjoy one of their speciality pints, that Richard has kindly agreed to sell.
