Befor this place changed hands I swore I would never eat hear again after me and my husband had the most disgusting food to a point i wouldnt have give it to my dogs but today after seeing so many good reviews we decided to go up and see what all the fuss was about I myself am the first to admit I'm to most horrendous person to keep happy when it comes to food and places I choose to eat at but I can honestly say I don't think I have ever had a nicer carvery than I had hear today it was all red hot which is a massive issue for me because if its cold I won't eat anything off the plate and would rather go hungry it was really tasty the meat wasn't dry at all the veggies were cooked to perfection especially the parsnips which still had a bit of crunch in the middle and I can honestly say I can't wait to go back and try sunmat off the normal menu xc

Lovley staff and the manager was really kind and helpful, came in with my friend and baby and we got a table pretty much straight away, staff always asking if everything’s ok can’t do enough for you, carvery is the best one Iv had locally compared to other places. Keep up the good work guys thumbs up from us

We went tonight with our 3 children as a last min decision. The carvery was beautiful..hot, fresh and well worth the money. The kids are off the kids menu and had a meal, drink and pudding for between £5 and £6.50 ish. Again really reasonable. Great, attentive staff and the Manager, Daniel couldn't do enough for us. You don't get the Manager coming around, talking to the public in many places..not in my experience anyway. Will look forward to returning

My husband and I came for a carvery last night and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was delicious and the service at the carvery was quick! All the staff were very friendly and it was great to see (I'm assuming the manager) on the shop floor helping his staff, it's very encouraging! The prices were great too, we were very impressed and will definitely return! Well done!

Impressed at how cheap and good value. Would recommend this place to families as they have a huge outside seating area with kiddies playground overlooking the lake.

Went with my partner and son this evening and the food was absolutely fantastic! The carvery was really tasty, best I've had In a long while. The service was brilliant and my son had a lovely time playing in the back on the climbing frames, and to boot the sun was out :) we will deffo be back again! Highly recommend it to all.

Turned up expecting it to be busy, and it was. But, the staff had a great table turnaround and we were seated within 5 minutes. Food was very good and fresh. Hope it lasts from now on and not just a reopening flash in the pan. I recommend it highly and will return soon. Well done to all staff. 👏🏻👏🏻

After being a mean mum and enduring the kids to a leisurely stroll around the lake, we wanted to refuel so called into The Beach for the first time. On the outside the pub looks small but go in and it is big, light and airy. We were informed of the wait time on food orders and were given the choice of eating in or out...we chose in. Our food arrived within the given time, all selected dishes (myself, hubby n kids) were lovely, the puddings were out of this world. We were left full until the following morning. We will definitely come again. Only downside was my visit to the ladies room...there was no toilet roll left, ideally they could do with a member of staff to check these on a regular basis. The Beach deserves a 10/10 from me.

Pleasant restaurant with great lake views. They have a europarks car park which is free for customers of this establishment. The interior is lovely and welcoming and the staff equally so. We found ourselves a table and went to order, it took a little while to be noticed and I'd say I was waiting at the bar for about 3 minutes, not a problem normally if staff are busy, but it was with no acknowledgement of any kind. Ordered 2 meals a starter and 2 drinks and came to just over 30 pounds. Food was very tasty and the service was quick and friendly. 10/10 onion rings and chicken, a must try when visiting!

We came for a carvery after a walk around the lake with my two young kids the staff were welcoming and friendly. The carvery was tasty. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Looked like they had a nice play area outdoors for the kids. We will definitely be returning and would recommend.

I visited The Beach today and I had a roast dinner, I don't eat a great amount of meat and turkey I have given up on it. No matter how I cook it, or how much I pay it's not that good. The turkey at The Beach today was lovely it was so moist and tender. There was a good choice of veggies too, nicely cooked full of flavour. Great value for money.

We came to eat at as a family of 4 and we sat indoors near the bar. The chairs were very comfortable and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. My Son played outside in the garden area overlooking the lake while we waited for our food, which was a bonus and kept him occupied. I ordered the carvery and it was absolutely delicious! I eat carvery regularly at numerous Greene King pubs but this one was by far the best I've been to and there was a lot of choice. The Yorkshire puddings were to die for! Thank you to Lewis and Kallum for their service and amazing carvery. The staff were lovely, very friendly and stopped to chat with us. Lovely experience all round.

I visit a couple times a week, with friends or family - the atmosphere is suited for either. Dogs are welcome too! The food is nice and reasonably priced, I always go for the carvery. There’s usually a wide variety of veg to choose from and there’s usually 3 meat options: turkey, beef and gammon. The best part? You can have a slice of all 3. Only downside? You can’t go back for more

"Beach" is in a great location, just perched on the edge of Hollingworth Lake. Perfect for a morning walk followed by a pint and pub lunch. There are parking meters in the car park, but customers of Beach get the fee waived, just remember to enter your registration into the touch screen pad near the entrance when you go in. The customer can find themselves a seat then order at the bar or via the Greene King app. (I prefer this to being seated as sometimes you just want to find a quieter area of the pub). We did change our minds on table a couple of times as they hadn't all been cleaned and were missing cutlery etc, but wasn't a big issue. We ordered on the app and drinks arrived within 5 minutes. Guinness & Coors was good, and the kids had milkshake/capri sun which was fairly priced compared to other pubs. Food was lovely, I had the katsu chicken (pictured) which was really surprisingly good! And the other adult had the medium carvery which had plenty of meat and good quality veg etc. They did say it was one of the best carveries they'd had! Children's meals were well priced, but maybe just a tad small for a 11 year old so I'd probably get them an adult meal next time. I think they are aimed at much younger kids. Will certainly return if we come back for a walk around lunch time, or even just for a sneaky pint on a warm day!

We paid for parking and only found out after we had paid that if you are having a meal here parking is free. The pub is clean and the toilets are as well. Because we had booked a table we were shown to our seats and told to order and pay for meals at the bar. It is advisable to book a table at weekends as it gets pretty busy. We had the Carvery Wich was very nice and you get plenty on the plate. The staff are all well mannered and polite. Would visit again in the future. 👍👍

Have yourself a nice walk around the lake then enjoy traditional pub food here. Dogs are welcome inside in the dog area, which is perfectly Okay as a place for the family. Ample parking is available outside, but you need to pay. I think it is £1.50 for one hour, £3.00 for two, and £4.50 for three. I don't remember there being an over-three-hours, and we've always done three 'just in case'.

Beautiful place with stunning views. Should have a sign at the bar showing which side is just for food orders and which for drinks please? Nice staff. Didn’t have lunch. Just a drink. High prices though. Would still go again.
