Decided to try this lovely little restaurant for a late valentines treat last night with my boyfriend. There was a wait for the table and for the food but it is absolutely worth the wait. I booked a few weeks ago. We had garlic mushrooms and blue cheese sauce for starter, I was very hesitant as I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese but it was absolutely gorgeous. Then for mains I got the beef fillet with tomato sauce which was absolutely to die for, the meat just melted in my mouth. My boyfriend got the same but with blue cheese sauce and he really enjoyed his too. We got chips with cheese at the side too, I love cheese but this cheese melted in my mouth and tasted like heaven with every bite. Then we decided to get the sticky toffee pudding for after and it was so rich and delicious. My taste buds are tingling just thinking about it. If I had to choose one meal to eat for the rest of my life, this would definately be it. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. The waiting staff were all absolutely lovely and couldn't fault them one bit, all checked that everything was ok with the food. 11/10 rating - amazing!
Just come back from a fantastic meal tonight; stuffed to the brim after our main course and starter and then offered the dessert menu :-) (there's nothing wrong with taking a look) and what should be at the top but a portion of Cartmel sticky toffee pudding.. well, forget the fact we're stuffed, how can we pass that up? So as well as a superbly cooked steak (for me) and a lovely chicken with Todmorden cheese meal for Andy, we polished it all off with our most favourite pudding.
Fantastic service and a beautiful place. This was our first visit, and yes.. we'll be back!
Just had the best afternoon in the water side in littleborough 15 people for afternoon tea they did amazing and the food was fabulous best afternoon tea I have ever had thank you ������
Nice friendly staff , amazing tasty food, good portions , and a really nice place to eat , would recommend this place to everyone.
Fabulous food, stunning decor and attentive hosts/waiters. Absolutely love this place and can’t wait to go again. The Lamb and Sweet Potato curry was to die for! X
The staff are friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is relaxing, the food is top notch and the cocktails are a great way to finish off an evening out. Cannot fault anything about the Waterside. Great place to go for a special occasion. Try it!
Had a big celebration there and the staff could not do enough for us. The food was excellent, the waiters and waitresses very professional and the atmosphere perfect. Would definitely recommend for a lovely night out. X
Lovely place - gorgeous decor, stunning surroundings, relaxing atmosphere, delicious and beautifully presented food, fantastic service. The owners always go the extra mile to make your visit special. I've been a customer for many years and every visit feels like a treat because that's exactly what it is!

Absolutely gorgeous meal last night. Friendly and professional front of house & chef who obviously passionate about his cuisine putting wonderful twists to dishes and locally sourced meat and cheese etc. Worth paying bit more for excellence.
'What a find ' in a lovely setting away from the other eateries at Hollingworth lake a gorgeous welcoming restaurant with a fabulous outdoor area and the menu was outstanding � we had the steak and were so glad we chose it and it far surpassed our expectations quite honestly the best steak we have ever had thankyou Waterside we will most definitely be back ������
We had our wedding in the cabin and we couldn't have asked for better. The communication and planning prior to the day was great and Lisa and the staff were accommodating with my requests. It was made simple and easy. On the day of our wedding we had nothing to worry about, staff were great and attentive, food was amazing and our guests were impressed with the venue as a whole. Thank you to everyone, especially Kaylee for making our special day one to remember
We hired the cabin for a hen do this weekend and paid per head for food and wine, and what an experience! Absolutely amazing service and incredible food! Would highly recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a small party! The staff were so helpful and attentive all day! Thank you so much xx
Visited last night and sat outside on decked area , great atmosphere relaxed and lovely in sunshine - opted for the sharing plates , everything was fresh and hot and very tasty . We were Offered more drinks throughout and staff checked on how everything was. Enjoyed it very much !
Had such a great experience, staff were very friendly and helpful, food & drinks were fantastic, if I didn’t live 4 hours away I would visit regularly!
This is my mother in law's favourite restaurant and we come every time we visit. The food is always fantastic and the staff are super friendly. The owner has a strong presence and is checking in on the customers. The menu could be made a little simpler by maybe being in a book
My partner and I had a lovely time here! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, their food was gorgeous (especially their vegan cheesecake they had on their September menu) and the overall atmosphere was very cheery. We had our dog with us too and the staff came over with a bowl of water for him as it was a hot evening. We look forward to coming back again!
Me and my partner was at "The Waterside" today for Sunday dinner...it was quality! The food was amazing, top quality and big portions! Lovely environment, nice friendly staff and lovely surroundings! Highly recommend, definitely one of the best sunday dinners we've had in a long time and we travel far for good food 👌🍷xx
Had a Sunday lunch here today. The food and drink was delicious, the staff friendly and Lisa , the owner lovely . I would highly recommend this place and would come again. Thank you, Lisa and staff.
Gorgeous small plates, I had the sweet chili salmon, goats cheese parcel and dragon fries and all of it was amazing. Tried a bit of my boyfriends steak as well and that was gorgeous.
Hired the Cabin for Sat 5th August for my family of 9.
