I had an absolutely delightful experience at the restaurant during our recent lunch visit. The highlight of my meal was definitely the Risotto. It was cooked to perfection, with a creamy texture and a burst of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients used in this dish truly stood out.
Beyond the delicious food, the ambiance was inviting, and the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The overall dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Very warm and inviting pub, staff friendly and welcoming.
The food is top quality traditional pub style food, and the roast lunches were great.
I have however given 4 star however not 5 as £20 for a roast is steep there's no getting away for this. Seems expensive as I've had more for less in other restaurants.
Roast lunches are a bit of a cash cow, you give people 2 thin slices of meat and the rest vegetables/potatoes to bulk it up charging over £20 is a bit much might get away with this in a hotel or fine dining place but it is a pub end of the day.
Some may see this as just being picky but you get 1 stuffing ball, and half a tiny sausage wrapped in bacon. About 3 roast potatoes and beef sliced so thinly you could use it as a sandwich filler.
Why am I paying £21.5?
Excellent food, but would not return due to high prices and small portion sizes.
This place has the best food I have eaten in a long time. It was perfect from start to finish and I cannot fault the food at all. The location is pretty and it's very atmospheric. The staff were lovely. If you are in Cambridge or the surrounding areas, this place has to be on your list for somewhere to visit
Fabulous night of exquisite food, clearly cooked with a passion. Lots of interesting Indian delicacies for their Bollywood Spices event. Everything delicious, lots of dishes to try, lamb, chicken, fish, chickpea with lovely freshly prepared accompaniments. Super night, hope they do another one soon.

Wonderful food and accommodation. I recently stayed here for 6 nights spread over 2 weeks for work reasons. The room was wonderful, a very comfy bed, wonderfully decorated and furnished. The food was first class and well priced. The manager and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will be certain to pop in again the next time I am in the area for work..
Thank you
Had a nice dinner on friday night! Food was definitely worthy of gastro pub standard! Sausages and mash was a real highlight. Atmosphere was nice for dinner but quite low key
Quality of the food seemed to surpass my expectations massively. Pricing is pretty good for most things and the scenery is top notch, very clean and we'll looked after.
The staff couldn't have been any nicer and helpful when I asked for recommending a starter.
