I love Purple Olive.... the staff are fantastic and extremely helpful. I love that they always seem to have time to ask you about your likes and dislikes regarding Indian food and then suggest dishes which ordinarily I wouldn't have even considered. I have never been disappointed with the suggestions made and the food has always been gorgeous. I can't think of a better place to go.
Went in march for my Birthdaynot only was i made to feel special the food was best food tasted for long time,it was that good my hubby wants to visit again,he has never said this about any indian restuarant,so very high praise for all the lovely staff and food

We went last night for my sister's Birthday. The food was lovely and the staff were great, we had such a laugh with them (even though I did have a naff bag!!), will definitely go again and highly recommend it.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great staff.......except the waiter who kept pestering us to make sure we tipped him (even though he didn’t bring food or take order or clear table !!!) other then that great night. Will be returning.

We had our Christmas Day lunch at Purple Olive today . All I can say is it was fantastic and the first time in 51 years we haven't cooked our own . The food was really hot and delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful on such a busy day . We chose the traditional Turkey Roast with a starter of Prawn cocktail and Christmas Pudding for dessert. A nice relaxing atmosphere made it perfect . Thanks �

My dinner here was one of the best Indian meals I've had in the last 10 years. The flaming lamb served with house special rice was delicious.The meat was top quality and cooked to perfection.The flavours were so delicious that they lifted my spirits and took me to a happy place. The waiters were friendly and helpful and the service was very good .
Had food here and it was beautiful. Lovely curry. Cocktails were very small though.. they call themselves a cocktail lounge but they only served 4 cocktails so hardly a lounge 🙈 food was immaculate though absolutely beautiful. So fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The service was slow but food deffo made up for it and staff kept us informed and apologised for the inconvenience. Will be visiting again and now we use this for takeout too. Be warned however.. they don’t accept card payment for takeout which is a nuisance! Cash only! But you can pay on card if dining in the restaurant.

We ordered a takeaway for delivery, we have just finished our meals and I had to write a review because our meals were excellent, tasty, fresh, full of favour and we will be booking a table very soon. Absolutely satisfactory.
Had a lovely time last night celebrating my granddaughters 18th, our waiter was lovely, nothing was to much trouble for him, the food was really really nice, definitely be going back again,

Absolutely fantastic food. I was not sure if it would be as good as i wanted, but it was. The staff are friendly and very smartly dressed. The restaurant is very atmospheric and traditional as well as relaxed.
The prices are actually quite low.
I enjoyed my meal, and i was happy.
I genuinely recommend this restaurant and bar for a night out and traditional Indian experience 👌
Lovely meal, both my girlfriend and I couldn’t get enough and we will be back for more when we visit family locally. We were after a good meal after a long trip from Scotland and a lovely meal we got. From the starter to the main it was all spot on. Really lovely Indian restaurant, food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Prompt seating, friendly staff, plenty of local parking. Prices very reasonable for the quality of the food. Please note they don't offer deserts since the pandemic but it's not a loss as the food is 5 star. Going back next Sunday for another banging meal 🤘
