Excellent choice of food served today; rabbit & leek strudel, Panko covered Haloumi and pan seared scallops for starters, followed by fish broth, rib-eye steak, venison suet pudding and confit duck leg with duck sausage roll. 10/10 throughout. We will return.

I always meet friends and family here for a catch up drinks when I return to my hometown, we held my mums 70th birthday here too, a beautiful, quaint, welcoming old English pub, good selection of beers, ales, wines and the garden is a good sun trap to in the summer, I recommend a visit ! 👍

Excellent food and customer service. The seabream main course and pumpkin and coffee tiramisu were superb. Not to mention the Italian Pinot Grigio. Next time I'll ask for a dash more Marsala in the dessert, as its flavour escaped me!

Friendly staff, very cosy atmosphere. Food was incredible, the black pudding scotch egg with Aioli was delicious and the triple cooked chips were perfect.

We had lunch at the Queen's Head this week having not been there for a long time (a year or more). Our lunch was really excellent: fresh and tasty and the service very attentive. The sun was also out so an added bonus for sitting outside!

Outstanding each And every time and very much worthy the drive from London. The food is superb. The service is great. Not a fault! They now have a GF menu. The fish and chips was delicious. Thin and crispy batter fried in a clean/fresh oil served with triple fried thick chips, mushy peas and a tartare sauce. The burger is cooked to perfection and comes with french fries and cole slaw. Thank you, again, and until next time. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

We had been to The Queens Head several years ago and had such a lovely experience, so we were excited to return. Let me first say that the food was absolutely amazing and the service was spot on. But, we had to convince ourselves we were in the right pub. All of the atmosphere we had experienced that first time was gone. I understand that pubs sometimes feel the need to modernize or update their décor. But, I don't think it has worked in this case. We felt like we were in a cafeteria. There was no charm, no ambience, no nothing. It felt stark and cold. It's a true shame because the food and service really are fantastic.

Quiet genuine Country Pub. Good selection of food which we haven’t eaten yet, but several locals have recommended.

Excellent attentive, friendly service. Had a double stroller and the team were very accommodating for two young babies. Cosy, intimate dining room and most importantly, excellent food. Cured belly pork with Asian glaze was a highlight for me. Highly recommend the journey to this place.

We had two evening meals here this week and on each visit the welcome and service were excellent and the food was superb. A lovely change from the usual run of the mill pub food and each meal for the four of us cooked to perfection. Wish we lived nearer!

A good decision to eat. We had a fantastic Lunch. A perfect break during our trip in England in October. Very friendly staff and good service. Great menu and food. A break here that is worthwhile.

First visit for dinner. Nice menu with specials too, food was really nice... both fish dishes for mains. Portions are generous. Prices for some items a little high but plenty of choice. It's a lovely old village pub on the outside. Inside is quite different, very functional and modern perhaps lacking ambience.

This is the perfect place for an amazing lunch or dinner, beautiful food, great choice of drinks fabulous service, dog friendly and surrounded by gorgeous walks near the Thames. I had the tempura chilli fried squid which was so tender and delicately crispy, followed by a chicken BLT burger in a seeded brioche… such a treat as we sat by the fire while my dog begged for some bacon :)
