Great pub. Great service by the bar staff even if we were a group of 40 walkers. Very fast, efficient and friendly. Very Dog friendly . Decent pint and nice views. Definatly come back here.

Perfection. I can honestly hands down say this was the most enjoyable meal we've had in sometime. The young man behind the bar welcomed us, sat us down in a dog friendly area, and served us drinks straightaway. The food service was friendly and prompt. The food it's self was just perfect in every way. Cannot wait to return very soon!!

Location is very nice, staff is very lovely. Food is great, however, I ordered a Thai kabab which had nothing to do with Thai food. It did not taste like Thai food at all. It even came with chips. But it was still very tasteful and would order it again.

I had the Steak pie with Stilton, very very tasty and very generous serving. The service was excellent all staff very friendly and helpful. This pub is all an English pub should be excellent food ales and staff! Noticed the good ventilation, too, as still very aware of covid. I wish this was my local in Guisborough 😍Well done to all!

Excellent dining experience in view (and walking distance) of the Acton swing bridge. Unique presentation of the Steak & Ale pies! My first time trying Gammon Steak (had already nibbled on the fried egg before photo)....

Dropped in for a quick drink on the way home from Peckforton Castle. Sunny day, riverside location, so beer garden beckoned. Friendly staff and reasonable selection of draught beers and a couple of cask beers. What we saw of the pub was nice and the food looked good, so may drop in for lunch next time we're in the area.

Staff were lovely, very friendly, and welcoming. The inside was really nice and very clean. The food was a bit disappointing though, which is a shame as last time I came it was really nice. I had a fish finger sandwich, and the batter was like rubber. My 1 year old wouldn't even eat it.

It was fairly quiet when we went and it was just for food not drinks or bands etc... The food was genuinely faultless. 3 of us got 3 different meals. I had the fish and chips. The fish was almost too big. Cooked perfectly and the chips were great. The steak burger and salt and pepper vegan option were both well recieved by others in my party. Will absolutely be coming back shortly.

Went after a recommendation, staff friendly and helpful. Steak pie with Stilton was fabulous, a huge portion with lovely chips and veg. Fish and chips also good. Very reasonable prices. What’s not to like
