This was my first visit to the Bridgewater Arms, I visited with family to celebrate a retirement. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and very attentive, I chose the signature roast, which I thoroughly enjoyed, very well cooked and presented. Looking at the desert menu, I chose the cheesecake but couldn't decide on cream or clotted ice cream, so had both.

Delightful pub on the fringes of the Ashridge Estate. Both people and dog friendly, they even have a doggy menu.

It is really close to where I like to go for walks. There is a big enough car park just in front of the pub. Friendly staff and clean all around. We had salmon steak and chicken that was lovely. Only thing I didn't like was my daughter's mash, I would have preferred it slightly softer however she nibbled from our chips. We will definitely come back again and recommend

Absolutely fantastic meal, best I've ever had from a chain venue. Shelby and Jonny hosting just kept the laughs going. Would highly recommend

Came for late dinner with my partner and enjoyed a very well cooked steak. Food was lovely and hot, desserts were delicious and service from our waiter Alfie was amazing, he was very attentative and no ask was too much. We look forward to our next visit, thank you so much.

I was recently recommended to visit this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. Our starter of squid was breaded but quite fleshy inside. My husband’s pie was very meaty and accompanied by seasonal vegetables. My crispy chicken in a basket was tasty and served with chips and a large salad. Service was good and the restaurant was nice and warm. It was rather noisy as the place was busy..always a good sigh. We shall definitely visit again as it was a very pleasant experience. and menu interesting especially the puddings

Really very nice, lovely Sunday lunch. A few things were sold out, but a pleasant afternoon for a belated birthday lunch for mum.

This is our favourite place to go right now. We even have a big family celebration coming up booked there. We last went for dinner last Sunday for my birthday and got a free drink from Johnie.
