We enjoyed our first dinner there and will go back to try other things on the menu. Very flavourful food, clever combinations, upscale without being pretentious or fussy. Loved the pumpkin small bites, the mango in the Scotch egg was brilliant. Beetroot risotto lovely. Parmesan courgette fries nicely done. Hope they do well and not just because we want a good local place
Might be the best pub-restaurant in the world. The chef is a genius producing outstanding quality of food with creative notes. Incredible value too. Not sure why the name was changed. Hope the staff is still the same.
We arrived stressed and later than anticipated due to traffic hold-ups however the calm atmosphere and the willingness of the staff to put our meal back slightly soon had us more relaxed. Delicious food and the dinner, B&B rate was very reasonable for such good quality. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Excellent meal as always on Friday evening at the flitch. Fantastic food and service by Paul, Lisa and team. We would definitely recommend to friends and family. We can’t wait to come back!
A real little gem in Little Dunmow
We are regulars at Flitch and never had less than amazing experience.
The ambiance is nice and relaxing, staff very friendly and professional and the food is outstanding.
No matter whether you choose a La carte or tasting menu, you can only be impressed; give them a try.
Everything about this remarkable small restaurant is just about perfect. We enjoyed the 4 course lunch menu and found it delightfully tasty, creative, well-proportioned, and excellent value for money.
Service was attentive and friendly without being overly fussy, while the atmosphere hits that sweet spot, neither too noisy or reverentially quiet. It's also nice that you can see through to the kitchen and watch the chefs in action.
We're really looking forward to a return visit.
The experience at the Flitch has always been spectacular! The food and service are just out of this world and cannot fault it. Thank you for creating amazing memories for us. Until the next time.
The food was delicious and the service was fabulous. We had a wonderful evening for my husbands birthday, thank you!
A warm welcome, followed by exemplary service, exquisite food at an excellent price ( lunch menu) in a very pleasant and light dining room with soothing colours. This should be a Michelin Star rated establishment , being far superior to some of the Michelin Star restaurants we have previously eaten in. Paul and Lisa deserve a higher credit for there operation
A fantastic venue and dining experience. The food was incredible. I look forward to returning soon!
Wow, what a fantastic restaurant. Food was top notch, staff were warm and welcoming and the ambience was lovely. We will certainly be back for more.
Outstanding!. Wow...
We highly recommend this beautiful restaurant to anyone who enjoys taster menus.
Very lovely host and waitress, the food is amazing.
Thank you guys
What a wonderful, unforgettable experience!
As a birthday treat, we dined at the 'chefs table', overlooking the kitchen, chatting with the chefs and enjoying watching the food prepared and sent out to tables, learning and inquiring about the menu, the choice of ingredients and their preparation.
We had opted for the set menu and wine flight....
Each plate was an adventure into incredible tastes and textures, thoughtful and creative combinations of ingredients paired with well chosen wines.
An evening of fabulous delights; working our way through countless courses, each one crafted to perfection and offering unusual and surprising taste experiences.
We left full, happy and the ride home was a non-stop discussion about the culinary journey we had just enjoyed....
Don't hesitate, hands down one of the best dining experiences ever, and one not to be missed.
We are going to be talking about this for a long time to come, and I can't wait to come again and share with more friends.
Stunning food, deep flavours and lovely team. If you get chance, have a chat to Paul, a passionate (and fun) artist. A jewel of a place.
Just got back from Sunday lunch at the Flitch - our first time there. I can safely say that it was one of the best meals that I have ever had - truly exquisite ! Every course was just perfection on a plate.
The service is so friendly and we wanted for nothing at all. Very attentive without ever going past that "please leave us alone" stage. Lisa and Seana (sp?) were happy to answer all of our questions (there were many !) and treated us like regular treasured guests.
Paul's cooking of (or should that be creating) the dishes is just fabulous. There was honestly not one tiny detail that wasn't just perfect.
We are already planning on going back for their tasting menu (20 courses) coupled with the flight of wine - will have to be a taxi that night !
It was my wife's birthday and all of the staff made her feel very special indeed.
I honestly could not rate the Flitch highly enough. Don't just think that you should go there some time - book a lunch or a dinner now - you will not regret it !
Had such a good meal. Went beyond expectations.
Looking forward to returning at some point. Love the fact that I don't need to go into London for a really good meal
Incredible gastronomic experience! If you like food, the taster menu will not disappoint you. Neither will the drink pairings they offer if you choose that too. And if you can stay overnight you'll be treated to luxury accommodation and a breakfast fit for a king! We had belly pork on french toast...for breakfast! Absolutely delicious.
