Outstanding value Sunday lunch. 3 courses for under £17. Home made yorkies and sticky toffee pudding were divine and worth a mention. Great range of local drinks. Weston's Vintage Cider and Wye Valley Ale. Honest food at a great price. Friendly service. Would highly recommend.
Had the best time visiting the Plough Inn at the weekend. They hosted 19 of us and the food was on time and tasted amazing! We also camped in the back field which was very private and just what we were after for our big birthday celebrations. Would recommend it to everyone to come and stay and eat. The staff are so warm and friendly ❤️
Stayed for 2 nights, was fishing locally. Excellent location friendly atmosphere great food & the room was spot on. I shall definitely return when down this way again.
We called at the last minute because we forgot to book rooms. Then we had 3 different dinners. Curry burgers and a pork chop. Then we had sticky toffee pudding that was out of this world. Amazing food and a great company. I can not recommend this place enough
A lovely decent pub and accommodation. The rooms were clean, and the area was quiet. The owner was friendly and accommodating.
Enjoyable and reasonably priced meal. Nick, previously a Chef at the New Harp in nearby Hoarwithy, started the previous day and had carried over the same tasty food. A pork chop and a Filipino style curry were both enjoyed.
Excellent accommodation, excellent food from a great chef. Friendly welcome. I highly recommend staying here. It may be off the beaten track, but it is convenient for Hereford and Ross-on-Wye.
After being down there a week with work there was nothink better than finishing work goin back to a warm welcome from the hosts & lovely home cooked meal 👍nothink was too much trouble very accomadating, then a lovely peaceful nights sleep 👍thank you paul & big sam
Stayed here for our fishing trip to the Wye. Perfect little spot, old school country pub in a really quiet area, very welcoming staff, basic but good menu, nice local produce, really cheap(half of what I'm used to paying in London), rooms were nice, fairly basic, but clean and well looked after. Ideal bed for your fishing trip to the Wye. We will be back on our next trip down.
We have had a great stay at the Plough Inn. The staff and hosts are very welcoming and are always on hand to help. The stay provided good value. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Being a free house there are many beers and ciders on offer as well as wines and spirits. The food which is served in the evening is just fine for a pub. This is not a gastro pub, but a drinking pub that also does food. We hope to come again as we have more to explore in the area.
Welcoming excellent rooms and service, hope to visit again.
Ever since first speaking to the landlord and lady, Dean & Steph, to arrange accommodation for a stag do, they've been nothing but accommodating and incredibly helpful.
The fields for camping are amazingly peaceful alongside having everything you'd need for a good night under the stars.
The beer garden 👌🏼
The free roaming chickens 🙌🏼
The price - absolute bargain! 🤑
10/10 would recommend to a friend, 11/10 will visit again.
Thanks again, Guys!
A very friendly pub, a wonderful and welcoming place to stay! My friend and I were even brought a small gift of a coaster by one of the resident pooches, Kim, as we entered the bar 🐕
Stayed at the Plough for a quiet little weekend away. The Plough is easy to find and is just 10mins away from Hereford. Steph was very welcoming, and we had a nice double room at the front but off to one side so not directly above the pub. Lovely big room with a good view of the fields and hills across the road. Nice big sofa in the room as well as as ensuite shower room. The bar is only small, but a traditional pub with separate areas for eating, drinking and billiards. Very welcoming in winter with the big log stove fired up and dogs running around. Great evening atmosphere and a good laugh with the locals. Steph does a mean fish and chips!
There are lots of nice walks in the area: a walk through fields and woods and back to the pub for a decent pint ticks a good few boxes for me.
We wanted a chilling weekend, and that’s what we got. Thanks Steph.
A very warm welcome. Lovely clean room. The best night's sleep I've had in ages! I had an early start but breakfast was left ready for me. Lovely little pub. I will.return
The staff were very accommodating and friendly the rooms were lovely and has a beautiful view of the countryside. The bar and garden are amazing the food was fantastic and sourced locally which i think is really good. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for somewhere to stay.
This is a family owned hotel and micro brewery. The owners are lovely, nothing is too much trouble, we even arrived early and they went out of their way to help. There is a good selection of beers and sprits, the rooms are clean tidy and comfortable and the food is really good. A great little country pub that I would happily recommend
Lovely small friendly pub. Stumbled upon it while trying to find a local place to eat on a Sunday evening. Current owners saved it from closure a couple of years ago, and have put considerable effort into bringing it back to life. Good traditional food. Gather from owner that meat sourced from local trusted butcher. Pleases to find there were also several vegetarian options available. Generous portions at a very reasonable price. Thankfully avoided the current trend to replace plates with squares of wood or slate and serve everything with a few leaves of rocket!! This family run establishment is well worth searching out to see if its your sort of place. To note... they also have a camp site and rooms available.
