Such a gem of a pub! Martin, Jane and Jo are the friendliest people I've ever met and can't do enough for you. So upset I live so far away, otherwise I would be here every week! The food is also fab and can't recommend the puds enough! �such a fab place! Thanks for making our trip to Little Compton worth it! �
Had my Grandad’s and my birthday meal here yesterday and all I can say is WOW!! Service and food 5 star, and the cake - absolutely delicious!! Also, thank you for my flowers and Grandad’s chocolates, so very thoughtful of you. Very full bellies after the roasts.
Fabulous best sunday roast and so reasonably priced. Its our local and Martin and Jayne the hosts and all the staff welcome you with a warm smile. Our starter of a Quesadilla was soooo good and at £6 was more than worth it. I chose the Pork and Black pudding Wellington and the pastry was scrumptious. Big servings great price and just on our doorstep. Lucky us. Definitely recommended �
Beautiful traditional Cotswold village pub with the added benefit of non traditional pub grub! Not cheap to eat here but the food is so good it is worth it.
Excellent birthday meal today, well worth another visit soon.
Absolute perfect service, Afternoon Food is a big notch up from your average pub grub, rooms are excellent no faults without doubt, be visiting again in the nearly future !!
The best sausage rolls I have had this year and I told the chef as much. Will come back early next year for a meal.

We dropped in for an evening meal whilst staying at a nearby caravan site.
Fabulous traditional pub, the building is full of original features and character.
Warm welcome on arrival and staff were friendly and attentive throughout.
Food was delicious, freshly prepared, well presented and generous portions (the mains perhaps a little too generous for us but would have probably managed it all if we hadn't also had starters).
Absolutely worth visiting if you are in the area.
Lovely pub. Filling portions- no need for starters. Very high quality food, one vegan option, lots of GF that I could see. £10 for an espresso martini that they mix themselves, none of that premixed rubbish. The main beer garden is a building site now, but we got into the front beer garden which was nice enough. Staff were so friendly! Toilet was clean. No idea what rooms are like but the pub inside is decorated well.
What an amazing find, stayed for 2 nights and didn't want to leave. Made very welcome by the owners, staff and locals. Instantly felt at home. The room was great, very comfortable. Breakfast and evening meals are wonderful, generous portions for a good price. Good locally sourced food which you can tell the difference with. We are planning our next trip back 😊
A great find! Just had the Sunday roast and the pan fried cod. It was big, delicious and good value. Plus a lovely old pub with pretty outside area as well as nice inside. Very helpful and friendly staff too. Thanks
Had lunch here while visiting the area. We had a very warm welcome and our meal was well prepared and delicious. The portions were very generous! The pub has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and is well worth a visit. We shall definitely return
Best stay ever..food is amazing and so was the welcome. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Its just a really warm and comfortable atmosphere. I can't fault it. We will definitely be back.
Visiting the area and just called in. Very quiet Friendly staff. Undergoing outside renovations which will only be a bonus. The venison burger probably the best I have had. Thank you for a lovely meal. Will definitely return.

As a group of 4 we ate her last night and had a fantastic meal and drinks (love Donnington Gold) it really was super and fantastic value so thank you and we will be back soon can't believe we have not been sooner as we only live around the corner. 🍺🍺
Extremely welcoming. The food is excellent and the portions are very generous. An all round perfect pub in my view. You even get to meet their four dogs, who are fabulous therapy!

We had a marvellous meal on the 27th December 2022 for a family Christmas Day 2 get together. The place was lovely, the staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble - and the food was amazing! I had the chicken and chorizo risotto - I have never had such a large portion! Truly delicious and can't wait to go back when we visit our family again...would love it as a local! Thank you for accommodating us
I do believe I would fly to England just to have their lamb hot pot. I’m still talking about it 2 months later. Everything about this menu item spelled simplicity, yet with taste, freshness, and hearty perfection. Plus, even though a large group was scheduled, they accommodated us with a wonderful table and excellent service.
Really friendly country pub, good choice of food, very friendly, chatty staff & owner. Food was excellent & great value for money. We didn’t book, but they were more than happy to accommodate us. Highly recommend!
Great food, atmosphere and warm welcome. Ladies toilet was leaking but they knew and had ordered a plumber but it was weekend so waiting till Monday. All in all excellent time.
Brilliant Sunday lunch! Superb quality locally produced meat, loads of delicious veg and gravy. Kids menu is also great, very generous portions for all! We shared some desserts (which we didn't really need but couldn't resist!) they were also delicious. Charming, friendly service and good value for money. Couldn't fault anything.

Food was great , with good value for the money and big portions .
Myself and my daughter went for tea yesterday evening she had belly pork, veg and mash I had had shepherd's pie, veg and extra mash.
Beautifully prepared food and proper amounts no saucer of food here. Its cooked fresh and tasted wonderful. Strongly recommend I will be trying the belly pork next, plates left clean.
Very good prices compared to many its friendly and has a bar for locals with darts and pool table too a proper pub.
Absolutely wonderful meal and beer at The Red Lion Inn as a walk-in (but would recommend booking as it got steadily busier!) We both had fish and chips and it was absolutely amazing!
The service was also fantastic - the ladies behind the bar (6:30pm onwards) were friendly, caring and attentive (without being overbearing!!!!!) throughout our meal.
So so pleased that we listened to the recommendation!
