Excellent country pub with great selection of beers by Greene King, and other drinks too including soft drinks. We dropped in mid-afternoon on a Sunday and it was extremely busy, but it was a pleasant day and we were able to sit outside in their beautiful courtyard area and order food and drinks at

Great pub and restaurant. Well looked after characterful building, food top (including Sunday Roast), and service available and respectful. Enough staff on to not be rushed off their feet and forget to be courteous! Will be back. Plenty of space between tables. Felt like a more sophisticated dining

The Lion and Lamb has long been a villiage pub, as I remember it more pub than restaurant the food was average and the place was looking tired.
The good news is that now it appears to be under new man
Great watering hole, good selection of drinks and food available. On my visit on a Friday early evening good atmosphere, service was quick, I didn't order food on this occasion but food orders looked good! Would recommend and will be revisiting in the near future.
Amazing food. They have options for gluten and dairy intolerances and the alternatives were amazing. Food was so tasty, served very hot and quickly. We were worried that we would get a bit if a ropey meal as we ordered just as the kitchen was about to close but were pleasantly surprised with the usual high standard meal so late in the afternoon.

Lots of choice, may be too much choice but we (2) had 5 starters and plenty to eat and share. Decor is tasteful, roomy, light and comfortable.
