What a gem of a cafe! Tucked away off the high street in the old school, this veg cafe serves the best veg food and coffee - definitely pop in on the way through or if you find yourself in Liskeard.

Cannot believe, having lived in the area for 23yrs, that we have never visited before! Delicious lunch...red onion and feta tart for one and homity pie for the other ~ the flavours were divine! We shall be back!

A relatively unknown gem of a place on the edge of liskeard town centre within Liskerrett community centre right next to the end of the old cattle market car park (90p for one hour 1.60 for two). I think you probably could park in the small community centre car park up varley lane for free but I never have so not sure. It's an interesting and strangely comforting setting perhaps once having been an old Cornish style school building but not sure of it's history. Room itself is quite small but with a very high ceiling appropriately decorated in a homely style with some amusing signs etc. The centre has decent WiFi and toilets near the entrance. The menu is impressive lots of beautiful veggie options from snacks to large mains and a standard hot and cold drinks menu. TBH I'm not a big fan of the coffee there but I don't think anyone is going there for the coffee so that's mostly irrelevant - I stick to tea or water. What I do go there for is the delicious, incredibly fresh and beautifully presented vegetarian food - the food there is consistently the best vegetarian food I've ever had and some of the best full stop and I'm not a vegetarian generally speaking. Quite cleverly you can usually select either a smaller or larger version of your main usually about 8-9 for small and 10-11 pounds for the larger one. For 90% of people the smaller version will be enough and I expect two people of normal appetite could even share the bigger one adequately. The first time I went there for lunch I had the large portion and didn't need to eat dinner and breakfast the next day was touch and go. There's a few sandwiches which are about 5 pounds and breakfast served up till 11:30. Beware everything is made and put together fresh so if you just order behind another table for example you might be waiting awhile for your food 30-40 minutes potentially but normally it's quicker and I promise even if not it'll be worth the wait. I know you can ring in for a takeaway and I would imagine you could order ahead and dine in If you were pressed for time. It's an amazing place and in a way a surprise it exists here - I recommend anyone vegetarian or otherwise to give it a try and if you like it tell other people.

In one word…EXCELLENT! I’m a wannabe vegetarian and was eager to try this place after reading reviews. We received a warm welcome and there was an excellent choice of freshly prepared dishes available. I opted for the full-vegetarian which was really tasty. The sausages were the real surprise, and I can honestly say that if I hadn’t known, I would never have been able to tell they didn’t contain meat. The cafe is located inside the community centre, directly behind the large car park. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely phenomenal. Called in on the off chance and managed to snag a table for 2. Specials of Homity pie and fritters were the order if the day and they didn't disappoint. I think it might have been served with the finest salad I've ever eaten in my 46 years! A m a z I n g!

What an absolute gem! If you haven't been here, then put it on your to-do list. Do not be put off by the building, yes its in an old re purposed building, which hasn't had much investment, but when yiu walk through the door, the personality of this place hits you, pleasantly, in the face and stays with you throughout. The food is amazing. Lots to choose from and something for everyone from soups to sandwiches, mains that are generous in size and cakes, puddings, etc, all a real delight! All of this served with a smile and a warm welcome. First class independent cafe. Bravo! Parking outside is limited, but it's right next to a large public carpark, literally 50 metres away. Thank you, we will be back

Visited for the first time today after hearing brilliant reviews and was not disappointed! A lovely quirky cafe with a warm inviting energy. I had a falafel and Pitta salad bowl, filled with flavour and the portion size was perfect. My partner had the veggie full English which he really enjoyed, everything tasted fresh and homemade. The service was great! will definitely be back again!

Wow! This is a real gem, right next to the car park. Such good value for a huge plate of delicious and well presented goodies. The space is beautiful and colourful and the staff are friendly. Really enjoyed my vegan beanburger and salad. Plenty of choice for vegans. Would have added a photo but was too keen to eat my food.

So glad we came here! After a week of visiting many of the famous coastal towns in Cornwall and struggling to find good (or often any) vegetarian options, this was a real gem. The food is beautifully presented, with an amazing mix of salads and gorgeous flavours - as well as good portions! Highly recommended.

Perfect for all food enthusiasts! They really pack everything they can into the salad - from grapes to gherkin! And the pest part is, all the flavours work really well together. I had a meal with falafel in and the falafel wasn't dry at all, it was deliciously moist. Most importantly, you can really tell they care about their local community and environment.
