We took a risk and booked a table a week before, as we were coming on holiday.
It didn't disappoint. It's a lovely pub, the staff were friendly and the Sunday carvery was beautiful with a nice choice of veg.

We called on short notice for a Sunday lunch after our plans at another place fell through. The woman who greeted us was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was delightful, and the food exceeded my expectations. The cauliflower cheese was incredibly cheesy, and the gravy was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place.
What a lovely quaint little pub. Had a lovely carvery extremely generous portions all fresh ingredients. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. If you would like a relaxed atmosphere and a roast , just like your grans then this is the place. Also dog friendly.

Had a lovely meal with young family and our manic dog this week. Owner couldn’t have been more helpful. Great vegan and veggie menu. Such unique surroundings and definitely recommended.
Such a lovely little pub! Just went and had a meal with partner and 2 young children, menu looks abit pricey but the portion sides was massive so well worth the money, lovely music playing in the back ground and the 2 staff we saw (gentleman behind the bar and lady who brought our food) was lovely and welcoming. Will remember this little gem of a place when we re visit Cornwall next year. Thank you for a lovely meal
Had a burger each. Chips and onion rings were great. Best meal we have had for ages and huge portions. Salad was colourful and tasty. Dissapoined that the coleslaw was not available.. service was pleasant but the barman needsto be a bit more welcoming. Wish the new owners success and hope to visit again

It is a great place, friendly staff, great service.
The seating area well small is very nice and for all the place I could see very clean. There is even a proper wood fueled fire place, that gives it the feel of a quite warm, welcoming place. Which it definitely is.
The food, was amazing, very nicely sized meals all fresh. Some excellent cooking here.
In terms of price for 4 mains and 3 desserts along with drinks it cost around 70 pounds and for the service and taste of the food it was well worth it.
I would definitely come back here for dinner if I was passing through again and suggest friends who do pass this way to try it out.

Nice friendly pub with pleasant well mannered staff.Guest beers and large choice of beers and ciders etc. Good varied food menu with daily specials. There is also a carvery if that's your thing. Dogs welcome at one end of the pub. Great beer garden and lots of play activities for the children.

The gammon was a bit different so not for me but the beef was good, lovely staff and would come back again thank you 😊
Fantasic Sunday roast carvery & a couple of local real ales. The staff are great, warm, welcoming & accommodating.
Stopped for Sunday lunch, had not booked yet was able to accommodate us, very nice lunch, roast beef dinner was lovely and tasty, great pint of local ale and great conversation with the amazing wonderful staff
