We stayed for the night, we arrived just after 3 and was shown straight to our room. We stayed on the loft. A very nice, comfortable room. We had the best nights sleep.
We booked an evening meal, pub was quite busy great ambience, shown straight to our table. The food was lovely.
This pub and the food is so nice I’ve come here for the past 2 weekends! Definitely worth the 1hr 40min drive. The fish and chips are to die for. The service is amazing, all the staff are sooo friendly. It’s a great pub, great atmosphere and great food! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Amazing food. The staff went above and beyond for us this evening. After a very long walk we couldn’t face cooking. We rang to see if we could get a takeaway and we where very much accommodate. Then when we got back home and tucked in the food was truly amazing. Thank you so much
Had a lovely family stay, room was a good size, for us and two babies, bed very comfy and the decor is charming.

Absolutely lovely country pub. We always pay this place a visit when we're out walking in the area. Dog friendly and some excellent local ales. Friendly staff and a lovely warm real fire. What more can you ask for?
Lovely stay in a great location. Rooms excellent. Food was good but not great. Think more great value pub grub rather than restaurant quality evening meals.
Did not stay, only visiting, or appreciate the location as it was evening/pitch black lol...
That said, what a fantastic meal, my partner had the Sirloin and I had the Pan Fried Chicken Supreme...

Really beautiful hotel in a fantastic village! We stayed in a dog friendly room and it was gorgeous, large and very clean. Both dinner and breakfast were great, 100% recommend!
Set in a quiet village, near the stream and ford, staff extremely helpful, food great, room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was enormous but with the walks around the area (available at the bar) was soon worn off.

Wonderful visits to The Fountaine over the three days we spent in Linton. We ate three evenings in succession and had breakfast there as well, though a non-resident. Everything a rural pub should be. Lovely village pub/hotel in an excellent location for walking with nice views. We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed them both with good food after decent local walks.
Brilliant pub in the Yorkshire Dales with a great choice of local beers, a lovely snug with traditional coal fire, could have stayed here all afternoon. The staff are really friendly.
