Stopped off here yesterday to have a drink and snack on the way home from holiday and had a gorgeous ploughman's lunch to share in the beautiful beer garden. Just perfect

Excellent food and service. Luke the barman was a perfect host and gentleman. The best fish and chips I think I have ever had...(and half price on a Friday too!). My wife had the gourmet king burger with sweet potato fries and also loved it. If I could I'd give you 6 stars!!!

Interesting Pub, the staff are friendly and when you go in doesn't look as though it's the type of pub for a family. However a group of 13 of us as a family were easily catered for in the pub garden, which also allows dogs. Thier burgers were delicious, Large menu with lots of choice and none of us had a bad thing to say about the food. Friendly staff I recommend :) Only 5 minute walk from Long Acres camp site.

Loud music, interesting bar. We sat outside in garden. Bordeaux burger was best burger ever. Thick beefy burger with brie and onions on top. And proper chips. There were lots of options - he had sweet potato fries and I had extra salad instead of a bun. and the coleslaw was delicious - I don't even like coleslaw. Bit more expensive than most burger chains but no comparison in taste and size.

Very friendly, liked the quirky different decor of the room & loved the bathroom! Breakfast was the best quality I've ever tasted, like straight from a good quality farm! Just within my price range! :-) in the nice historic village of Lingfield

Proper pub in the proper country with some proper burgers. Little pricey (£12 for a burger and fries).

Lovely, welcoming pub, excellent food, dog friendly. The garden is beautiful. The staff is the perfect example of how to run a successful local village pub and business. Just the perfect end of a lovely day spent in Ashdown forest! Highly recommended!! We will be back!

Good little pub with excellent food and drink Inc coffee for the driver, great little garden with tables plus helpful staff and well tapped beer and food is well presented. The only drawback is that it sits under the flight path of Gatwick airport but saying that I got some excellent shots of the planes making their approach, or taking off over the pub when the wind direction changes. Overall a great little country Pub !!🍹

Seems like a great place. Drinks were cold. Staff were friendly although not clearing tables. Sunday roast was done quite well considering the place was pretty empty but the plates were dirty

I have been to the Blacksmiths Head in Lingfield several times and every time has been enjoyable. They had live music and a hog roast a few Sundays ago, great food and music. I have also been to the Karaoke nights which are a great laugh. The food from the kitchen is also amazing. I highly recommend it. Lee
