A great sports bar with loads of TVs. Plenty of seating, food looked good but didn't actually have any. Not a massive choice of real ale and the one I wanted had just gone off, so had a cider. Beer prices very competitive. Generally a good boozer especially if you like your sports.

We decided since William Foster was in a side road off the High St, that it'd make a good place to stop for lunch whilst on a Christmas shopping trip in Lincoln. It's a large pub split into 2 main areas, with a really good choice of beers & meals, and plenty of space between tables. The staff were pleasant & helpful, just as well, as unfortunately we were informed that the hand battered cod & chips we ordered had run out, so had to sort out changing the order. In the end we ordered: Double BBQ Chicken topped with Bacon & Cheese (Hunter's Chicken), Double Burger the 'Bacon Classic', and I had the Mixed Grill. We all had drinks, and the bill came to just under £33, which considering what a less enjoyable meal in McD's or BK would cost, is great value. Food arrived within about 10-15 minutes, and was not only nicely presented (see my pictures), but well cooked too, especially my medium rare steak, perfect!
The only real disappointment was the grilled tomato, seared, but not cooked. I wasn't expecting a £9.99 Mixed Grill to be as good as this, but a good selection, decent quality and very tasty. The other 2 meals got a big thumbs up too, so all good, and left us ready to hit the shops again.
As for the pub, I'd imagine it does get very busy judging by how many TV's were around for the sports, and the pool tables, but a pleasant, not rowdy pub experience.

A lovely comfortable pub with delicious food and friendly staff. The desserts are lovely and very reasonably priced all round.

It's a pretty simple pub, nothing fancy. It does offer darts and pools. For a very casual place to hangout I recommend it.

Went for breakfast, and it was nice. The menu was varied, and the staff were friendly. The meals were good value for money. The disabled toilet was near the bar so easy to get to.

Busy lunchtime so a perfectly acceptable 30 minute wait. Staff friendly and welcoming

It was a bank holiday sunday when we visited so the place was buzzing. Numerous screens with different sports and matches on. Cheap beer. Good menu with well priced dishes. Very good place to go for a few pints and some food.

Great Value, with attentive friendly staff and unlike so many other value pub restaurants the portion sizes are still decent!
Clean, tidy and they also have events (Motown and Northern Soul Night coming up on the 16th April)
Recommended!

Manager is rude as hell asked for my 6 months old pudding she was sarcastic with a response to ‘well you can’t take that with you obviously’ so didn’t receive his pudding! The manager was pointing her finger at me and our table which is just rude! The managers attitude is awful would not be going there again!

Absolutely amazing staff.... Celebrating my 40th and daughters 18th... Playing monopoly, with challenges instead of buying houses. Very messy and very very loud.... Staff and customers were very tolerant of us and made our time there bloody amazing.... Will highly recommend to anybody.... FANTASTIC ..... 20/10 xx

Visited yesterday and drinks were fairly priced, tables were sticky 😕Returned today ordered a still mineral water and had to ask for a glass, then the glass that was given wasn't the cleanest so ended up not using and had to drink from the bottle. Not sure I'd return for a third visit.
