Lovely people, very welcoming place and fantastic food. Went the extra mile. We will definitely come back again if in the area. Can see the RAF planes from here which is a bonus too. Many thanks!!!
Absolutely Gorgeous food (homemade chips) a rare thing!! quiet and tranquil and welcoming friendly atmosphere and doggy friendly too - my new local! Highly recommend !! very friendly staff and gorgeous scenery next to canal too what more can you ask for ?

Absolutely the best meal I've had ever. Myself and my partner came, had 3 courses which was far too much as portions are massive. Forgot to take decent pictures of the whole meal as was too busy eating it. The staff were so friendly we was served mostly by the young lady who's name we forgot however

Called in with two soggy dogs and we were made very welcome. Amazing roast beef dinner served quickly - hot and fresh and very large portions.
Lovely food great drinks lovely people. You should go, it's the best in the middle of nowhere pub there is.
Super lovely little pub right by the canal/River, friendly staff , great beer and great food , very clean and tidy . Definitely be going back here .
The pub is not listed as a pub stopover but we asked if we could stay in a camper overnight, we were made to feel very welcome,

Found this little pub tonight 14.8.23 the food was lovely sat in a big conservatory over looking the river the landlady went out of her way to serve us food will definitely be coming again thank you lovely pub I would definitely recommend it people

Called in as a meeting place for us and friends. Great staff, a couple of drinks , let's have some chips because they smelt good. They were the best chips I've had in years.
Great value food and we sat in the conservatory which was lovely looking out to the river.
Went to Packet Inn for an evening meal. The pub has been taken over, and the new owners couldn't have done any more to make us welcome. The meals are reasonably priced and were very nice. The Old Peculiar is on draught and is delicious. We will definitely be going again and I would recommend.
