We had a really lovely meal here. We ordered the veggie Burrito and pulled pork sandwich. Veggie nachos and Guacamole
Service was spot on and the food was served hot and tasty.
Food is so often served Luke warm but this was perfect!

Did a goggle search for a Mexican restaurants and this one came up trumps. The restaurant is clean and looks good and the service was excellent. Nice selection of food so went for the enchiladas which looked good and tasted amazing. The only problem was it wasn't very hot/spicy.... ! I eat in a lot of Mexicans and they're generally quite spicy but not here. So if you like it mild and I mean mild then this is your place but if like myself you like it hot then I advise somewhere else.

A fantastic place to grab a quick bite and have a few drinks. The chicken nachos are tasty and not too spicy. The Old Fashioned was perfect and the meu includes several margarita options. Staff are friendly and prompt without being pushy. For the American tourists, note that a service charge is included with the bill, so there is no need to add an extra tip unless you really want to. If that is the case, I recommend leaving cash.

The staff was amazing, so kind and helpful. The food was delicious absolutely yummy... I would definitely go again soon. The atmosphere very cozy , especially on the second floor.

We have visited this restaurant twice now and both visits were great, good service and food. What was probably the biggest problem is choosing what to have, there are so many options to temp you from the tapas to the many main courses.

3 of us had a great time. It took a while for the food to arrive, so do consider heading over here early and spending time talking and chatting until your order arrives. Great atmosphere, lots of laughter, fun vibes, pretty happening place

Pre-booked table, pleasant staff, good range of meals and drinks. IF you have mobility issues the toilets are upstairs. We were okay, so I don't know if there are any alternative facilities. £140 for four of us.

Good tasty food cooked and served fresh. Nice range of wine, friendly staff and good service.

Nice food but the service was very slow seeing that we were the only ones there. Most of the time. We had finished the dips when we were asked if we was ready for the mains. So we then had to wait for them to be cooked ect

Lovely quick meal with cocktails, mains and dessert. Lots of choice and vegetarian options. Staff were very friendly and prices reasonable.

This was a great little find!
An independent Mexican Reastraunt a large menu of things to choose from with individual portion or tapas style portion size if you want to try a few different things. I would go back again when I’m next in Lincoln

We stumbled across this as we were walking round looking for somewhere to eat.
What a great find! Staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and the cocktails were delish!
One of the waiters took particular care of us and it was only his first day in the job ... Superb service, thank you! 😃

The small frontage and somewhat mass chain appearance of the menu do thos place a disservice. There are a good selection of the headline mexican dishes and those we tried had good flavours and the portions were good for the money. They have a tapas option as well, although many of the dishes are more Spanish, but that clearly may suit some groups better.

Nice atmosphere, decent food, reasonable price.

Deliveroo order - we initially expected the food to exceed the quality of other Tex-Mex restaurants in the area, but after opening our delivery bag we soon knew it would be a disappointment. We ordered a half foot of onion rings, the spicy beef tacos and the Aberdeen Angus burger. We opened the box of onion rings, and found to our displeasure that the box was full of near gone-off lettuce (dark brown) and a mix of dips in the corner which had been crushed in the container! The spicy beef for the tacos was uncomfortably hot - even for Tex-Mex food - to the point where I could not even finish it. Again, this box was also covered with near gone-off lettuce that had been scattered randomly underneath the tacos - the tacos were not toasted properly and were not crunchy in the slightest. The only two things that were even worth some credit was the delivery and the burger as the delivery was very quick, and the burger was lovely - well-cooked Angus, the right amount of all the good stuff and a good slaw. Overall though, this order was worth nowhere near as much as it cost, and we'll most certainly never be ordering from here again. Absolute disappointment.

3 people dining table booked for 6pm. seated as soon as we arrived give a chance to look at the menu. when asked what drinks we would like. I asked if we could move tables as we were by the door. we were moved with out any fuss. drinks arrived promptly and the order was taken. didn't wait to long for starters. nachos and 1/2 foot onions both were nice.
plates we cleared and mains followed in a timely fashion. 2 x chicken fajitas and chimichanga chicken side of fries and cheese. the cheese side was extremely over priced at £2 for not much more than an ounce. that said the food was plentiful and tasty. we all enjoyed our food. again the table was cleared and deserts offered. we chose the Churros and the mexican shoux bun. the bun was OK but a little tough. the Churros was not nice at all. deep fried I think for too long also had a salty taste and was greasy. I thought it may of been cooked in the savoury fryer as apposed to a dedicated desert fryer? through the out the meal the staff had poped over to ask how things were which was fine until the deserts then they never came. we never raise the issue of the desert or the cost of the cheese as on the whole we had had a good experience. ** However as we left we did feel extremely sorry for a young couple sat on the approach to the exit they looked squashed in as there was a table of 15 seated along the other wall staff and customers were brushing past them and making contact. they must of been terribly uncomfortable I hope Tequilas discounted their meal and asked them back as their guests.**

Service was appalling, there was a lot of eye rolling and sighing and it felt as if we had inconvenienced the staff. We did not feel comfortable and welcome. The food was poor, the chicken was dry, most meals were bland and tasteless. And to top it all off and service charge was added onto the bill (we didn't pay it). Safe to say we left pretty quickly and will not be returning!

Service was friendly. Very nice waiter. Starter was delicious but the chilli was incredibly hot although i asked the waiter about it before i ordered. He said it was spicy but not overly hot. I can't eat hot food because of treatment i had causing my mouth to be sensitive. It was virtually inedible and i struggled and didn't enjoy it. I would have chosen something else if he'd told me the truth. It was very very very hot.
Daniel Watson
Basically just a plate of slop on a cold environment with no atmosphere, badly seasoned food and cost £50.. even the starter wasn’t fresh, just frozen and deep fried, awful meal.
Nathan Wilson
Decent food it felt a bit rushed but the waiter did everything he could to help. The dessert was amazing though

Arrived without a booking, fair enough. They sat us down only to take our drinks order having sat for 12 minutes and grabbed a member of staffs attention.
By this point we were ready for food so ordered drinks and food, the starter actually arrived before our drinks which we had to chase them for once more.
When our drinks came, it was a jug of heavily watered down and extremely sweet margarita. Considering the margaritas we ordered consisted of tequila, triple sec and lime juice (according to the menu) they should have tasted anything but this sweet.
The main course arrived and we had been given no cutlery, after chasing again for the bare essentials needed to eat this average meal we waited two minutes to receive said knife and fork.
All in all a very dissapoint night and would advise against if you are a couple but more importantly if you are a group looking for a good night out.

Fantastic staff authentic atmosphere .at tentative great service and delicious food . We will continue to recommend well done :-)

Sad to say I didn't think the food was worth the money I paid on deliveroo. £12.50 for a tiny chimicanga the size of a pasty and onions rings that tasted like they were supermarket frozen ones. Overall order of nearly £40 and it wasn't worth half

Absolutely awful. my sister and I went yesterday during the Christmas market and we gave them the benefit of the doubt when they seemed really flustered because it was so busy.
Our drink were meant to be virgin cocktails but we're actually just fruit juice. when I asked the waiter about it he dismissed me. then talked to another waitress about me in Spanish which was disgustingly rude.
Then the food came out.
my sister's tacos were spicy but it didn't say that on the menu and she couldn't eat it. I tried it and the tacos tasted like cinnamon which was horrible.
my chicken fajitas were lovely but over priced considering they were £14 and all I got was 3 small tortillas and some filling.
Never going back and I suggested anyone who reads this doesn't either.

Service was good, unfortunately the food was not. Firstly I ordered chicken tacos without cheese, it arrived with cheese, it was returned and apologies were given. They offered to keep my wife’s food warmthey were sizzling fajitas so not sure how they intended to do that, she declined. My tacos arrived fairly quickly & going by the taste & the fact they were intensely hot I’d say they had been microwaved, they were sloppy & tasteless, if they had been seasoned I’d be very surprised. The steak in the fajitas was ok but well done, again why? Also there were only 3 extremely small wraps with approximately a dessert spoon of each accompaniment of salsa, avocado & sour cream, not great. We persevered & ordered churros which arrived with just a drizzle of chocolate not as we expected a dipping sauce. Extremely disappointing experience which we will not repeat.

Food was great and the staff excellent. Can't say nothing against Tequila's and would recommend them to anyone who loves high quality Mexican food.
Natasha Purdy
Food was very average but the staff were indifferent at best. At worst, the lady taking our payment was so rude we felt like we had inconvenienced her by simply being there. We won't be repeating the experience.

Went for our works xmas meal, a tables for 8 people was booked for 6pm we didn't get seated till 6.10pm they were very slow taking our order, our drinks come out in stages, we didn't get our starters till 7.10pm , our meals wasn't that hot, and then they messed up our order, then we had to wait for ever for our pudding then cold coffee, so we didn't leave a tip, the staff didn't look to happy about that, I won't be returning! !!
Caroline Turnbull
We present booked a table for 3. We were seated immediately. Drinks order was taken promptly and drinks arrived promptly also. Food order were taken and delivered in good time with a decent wait between starter and main. We each had different starter's which were all excellent as we're our mains. This place is well priced with good menu choices and good quality food. We came away full and happy.

Where did it all go wrong?. Used to be a great place for a lovely authentic Mexican night out, then something dreadful happened, it morphed into Cafe Zoot, same decor same sauces and dressings, cheaper ingredients, less skill and more supposed flair. Less enjoyment therefore results. Save your disappointment and head down to Chimichanga on the Brayford instead, lovely atmosphere and great authentic food, no plastic gimmicky recycled rubbish.
Dan Marshall
Not bad. Not a bad little mexican eatery. Its a little on the small side, especially following the new refurbishment but its well presented as is the food. Good choice of tasty mexican classics, all with a bit of chefy flare and a reasonable price. They need to work on a better margahrita and a better selection of mexican beers would be good. Not a bad place to come with a group before a night out.
