We were extremely well looked after by Charlotte, she was very attentive and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food was great and there was plenty of it. Talking to the owner, Ali, after our meal we learned a lot about the place and it turned out that they had only recently started serving food again after a major renovation of the whole pub. We were staying up the road and Ron kindly gave us a lift to our lodging. All said I would heartily recommend a visit!

I've eaten alot of steak ... this was worth the 172 miles drive! ..have eaten here a few times, food is locally sourced and beautifully prepared , staff are very helpful and friendly. Portions are very large and satisfying. Childrens menu was the bar menu, but , they happily caterd form my daughters needs from the main menu. Will definatly be visiting again ! Thank you to all the staff, 👍from us !

The pub was very busy (good sign) and the atmosphere was very lively as the place was full of families (it was Father’s Day). The young staff were very polite, friendly and efficient. The food (Sunday roast) was plentiful, cooked well and stacked full of vegetables. The facilities were clean, there is a small area with Children’s toys and there is an enclosed outside garden. Dogs are welcome. In summary, a highly recommended pub and eatery that would appeal to couples, families, dog owners and anyone wanting a warm welcome, pint and meal. We will be returning.

Nine of us model aircraft flyer's visited the White Hart for evening meals. Compliments cannot describe how good the meals were. Everyone was completely satisfied with their serving. Beer up to its usual high standard!!. Couldn't ask for more!! Ali, Ronnie, the bar staff and waitresses did us proud. She will be busy when Sandhays visit again next year, (three or four times!!) and probably more mouths to feed!. Looking forward to "the next time"!! Very Highly Recommended..!! Charles.

Had an amazing experience for valentines. Ali and Ronnie made it a very special evening and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and accommodating, nothing is too much to ask. The decor after the refurbishment is superb, interesting yet retaining the cosy country pub vibe. Can't wait to visit again.

Popped in to the White Hart at lissington on Thursday 6th October to take in the open mike night and decided to have our meal there. Nicely set out dining room with a lovely wood burner and polite and attentive staff. We had a lovely fish pie with cheesey mash accompanied by a really nice salad. It was a good sized portion, the fish pie was huge, homemade and full of fish. The open mike nite is on the first Thursday in the month and was well attended with all levels of musicians performing a good range of music. The owners has recently taken over and have done their utmost to improve the pub and are planning various other events and novelty evenings. Highly recommended.

Husband had what he called "the best steak in the county bar none", the veggie options were varied and the cannelloni was absolutely delish. Happy friendly staff serving good food that's well cooked and not over priced - what more do you need? Looking forward to when we get hungry again! Thanks Chris and Co - brilliant.

Great food and genuinely pleasant service at affordable prices. Excellent grilled haddock (more impressive than I've eaten at some posh fish restaurants!) and delicious pavlova. All that and Bateman's real ale..what more could you ask! Lis George
